Guest guest
Hey- this is probably right. I was really anemic this summer and had to eat all the time to keep my energy up. I was always sneaking sandwiches, chips, protein bars... anything to keep me going! And I've never been hypoglycemic- I'm usually the opposite. You can have your hemoglobin checked with a blood test. If you are anemic, drinking water is good, but you really need heavy duty iron supplements, or lotsa meat(which isn't that great for your colon and liver). I've taken ferrous fumarate with much luck. Take it with vitamin C or any citrus fruit or juice to help process it faster. Don't take iron with dairy or calcium, since it inhibits iron absorption. But get your blood checked before dosing yourself on iron! > , did you have much blood loss during surgery? if you did and didn't get any blood back, might be a bit anemic. I'd say drink lots of water for a start, even if you're not anemic, good to drink lots of fluids. > hypopglycemia and surgery > > > Has anyone out there had problems with post-op hypoglycemia?
