Guest guest
Toi is here, lurking for the most part to try to keep up with everyone. Being happy for those that are doing well, praying for those that are feeling down or ill, and trying to keep myself motivated in the health department. Luckily with getting in better control of my eating and the extra activities (including more walking) I've been involved in lately my weight is on the decline again. For a lot of people the beginning of the school year is the onset to more relaxing times. For me it is the onset for another 10 months of non-stop, hectic schedules. I get tired and I get drained and I get frantic sometimes, but I am glad for the activities for a number of reasons. For one, as long as my son is in sports and school activities, he's on the straight and narrow. Luckily he's never been anything but a good boy and outside of the dirty room arguments, things have always been really good between us. Devin is a great student and an excellent athlete, talented musician, and a wonderful big brother and son, but I know that high school (freshman this year) is going to offer a lot more challenges and (not always so good) opportunities so I want to make sure I do my part in keeping him on an honorable path. This means that I need to stay very involved as a parent and support him as much as I can. Of course I love going to his sporting events and concerts so being there for him is not all that hard. Most of you know that my dh is disabled so other than taking excellent care of our kiddos and the household, all of the errands and essentials that take place out of the home fall to me so between that, school, and working full time, chairperson of the United Way, I'm a busy lil Toi. I tend to run hot and cold in my posting, depending on my mood, activities, time, etc., so I hope all of you are aware that I am genuinely interested in each and every one of you and whatever is going on with my fellow Losers and the group, but don't always find the will or way to talk a lot. Prayers for the peeps in the path of the Hell-Kat!!! Toi
