Hi Pat....

Thanks for the input....This is actually the first I have heard about NF2

producing tumors in other places. I was told that it is the brain and spinal

cord. MaNNNN!

I have a lump at the top right of my head that I have concern about. Saw my

regular doctor yesterday and she said yep...that's a lump! I know more after my

MRI in oct.

I know I have a tumor over there somewhere, not sure of exact location though.

Probably nothing.....thanks though and I hope you are doing well. No surgery is

easy.

Carol,

I don't know if learning sign language will help you to play the piano? I

also played the piano pre-deafness, but I played every song by ear (no pun

intended) instead of reading the notes in the music sheet. I was told

Beethoven wrote many of his better songs when he became deaf so who knows?

Perhaps you can play post-deafness?

As for you liking to talk? That is fine. You can 'talk' using ASL also, but

apparently not with sound. I've seen entire conversations, speeches, and

acting dialogue using only sign and it's quite interesting. Signing not only

uses signs, but a lot of facial expressions and body movement. However, like

I said before, it's entirely up for you to learn in.
