Guest guest
Thanks Tara, seems to be a little better today, I spent last night sleeping mostly on my back with my knees up; may well have done the trick. Today I had to drive for the first time since the op, and it was very stiff indeed! My legs felt as if I'd not walked further than a few steps! We'll see how it goes this afternoon when I pick up DD from school. Resected SU 17/6/02 --- tens00 wrote: > Ooooo - I do hope your back feels better ! And, I'm glad you're > going to rest up more. Guest guest
Thanks Mindy, congrats on your own surgery!! I remember coming out of the anaesthetic hearing the Nurse say, " , , ... " . I must have been flickering my eyelids or something. Anyway, I had a dream under anaesthetic, which I've never done before, and I briefly remembered it upon waking, but promptly forgot it again. I also asked the nurse at least twice if I'd had " the whole lot done " ; I couldn't believe that it had all happened, I was right, and my old OB/Gyn was wrong! Guest guest
Thanks Hollie - I told one of the Mummys at school (ie. the mother of one of my daughter's classmates) that I'd asked for my endometriosis to also be scraped out, and I woke up with no AF at all - she just laughed and laughed, thinking it was the funniest thing in the world! She was also amazed at how quickly I seem to have recovered, as she'd had GIFT about 8 years ago, and had a laparoscopy with that, and remembers walking around for days in a stooped position. I'm still stooped, but I have a 5 and a half year old daughter and a nearly 2 year old son, so I don't get much of a chance of playing up on being " unwell " - they want me too much! I've put DS to bed for his nap just now, and then I've got to hang out the laundry and do the washing up. Otherwise, I'm resting quite nicely! Guest guest
Thanks Rita! I'm due to have a followup HSG in 6 weeks time, just depends on when they send out the paperwork. I still have to work out where I'm getting it done, but I may get it done back at the hospital where I had the op, as it seems I left my old films and things back there! It's a bit of a hike to go over there just to pick something up, so I'm in the process of making arrangements along those lines, so I can be " over there anyway " . I'm feeling much better today (I'm sure I haven't slept this much in years!). I'm scheduled for a post-op next week, but no word on another HSG. Just to make things a bit more complicated, we're waiting to find out (this week!) if we're moving cross country. I'd probably have to wait until we moved, and find a whole new set of docs, to have the HSG done. When it rains it pours. So, does estrogen really make you mean? I'd like to warn DH.
