Guest guest
Thanks ! It's nice to sometimes have one up on the medical fraternity! I think Prof respected that I knew what I wanted done, and that's half of the reason why he did what I asked. Hope you're going well, you must be just about there by now! Guest guest
Thanks Tara! For all my feeling great before, I'm not that good right now! I bent over to do up my daughter's shoelace and " crinked " my back! I guess it has something to do with the surgery yesterday, and also because I've been walking around a little stooped so as not to hurt my navel any more than it already does. Fortunately I had some Panadeine Forte which was sent home with me yesterday, and that seems to have done the trick a little. The last time I did this to my back was after I had Eilis and DH had gone back to work after a week at home. I decided to be " SuperMum " and ran up and down 2 flights of stairs to get to and from the laundry to wash Eilis' dirty nappies! The next morning I lifted my leg to get into the bath for a shower and " crink " went my back! At that time however, I blacked out and ended up in hospital overnight! Not going to happen now, I know this means it's time to rest up a bit more! --- tens00 wrote: > Wow . You sound great! (Thanks for reminding me about the navel-pulling sensation. Was the creepiest thing about surgery for me.) I will keep an eye out for your debriefing update. In the meantime, speedy recuperation to you, and a load of crappy nappies. Beth SU

Guest guest
- congrats on the surgery! I hope you're taking it easy and resting your back and navel. I had my surgery yesterday too - no more septum. It went well, but I'm so thirsty now! I made the mistake of drinking my post-op ginger ale too fast and it came back to visit me. So, they told me to take it easy on food and drink. Ice chips are my new friends. My belly button hurts a bit, but other than that, things look good! This is how I remember coming out of anesthesia: Me: " Why did the cookie go to the hospital " Doc: " I don't know, why? " Me: " Because he felt crumby. " My 4 year old nephew told me that joke last year and for some reason I felt the need to share it with the doctor. I'm sure it's not the strangest thing he's heard while a patient is waking up. Take care, Mindy SU resected 6/17/

Guest guest
My goodness...are they running a special on septoplasties?!! I didn't realize how many would happen within hours of each other - wow! Sounds like you also did well. I was like you - I felt like I was dying of thirst for 2 days. I gulped down water in the post-op, but luckily kept it down (it took some concentrating, though) Let us know how your follow-up goes. In the meantime, take it easy. Guest guest
Mindy Congrats to you too on your surgery. Glad it was easy and you are feeling well. Cute joke! Any word on the post-op follow-up? Will you have an HSG to confirm the extent of septum reduction? , 29, SU resected Jan/02, bicollis, ttc _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
