The only really dependable symptom of too much Th for me is loose stool. Since I have had that to a slight degree for the past 5 days or so it may by that I should have decr T3 instead of incr 6 mcg. But I have been on Cytomel since mid March with no such symptoms. I can only hope that maybe raising pH might help get more T3 into my cells. But I haven't done that for a couple days because of the edema. The edema in my legs and feet is actually better today, but the outofbreath is not. No baking soda needed! I wish something would work for me. If I don't do the baking soda for a couple days, my urine pH is right back down to 5.5. And I don't eat that badly. No meat except for salmon 2 or 3 times a wk, sprouts, veg juice, vegies, fruit. Lemon juice does seem to help a bit. And I take at least 3x as much potassium. Guest guest
Hi Dorothy, Somewhere in this thread you mentioned that TH gives you loose stools. I am assuming that you mean thyroid. I have been having loose stools for 2 1/2 weeks since ramping up my T3 from 40mcg to 60mcg. I thought it was a stomach virus, I wonder if it is thyroid starting to kick in. I am usually constipated and have to take lots of magnesium to get going. Very interesting. Any thoughts? Marti > > > > What brand of T3 are you taking? On Feb 20 I was on 100 mcg Cytomel LA and started decr HC because I felt my adrenals were better. I decr T3 to 88 when I was down to 32 mg HC. I got down to 17.5 when I got the infection and went back up. > > Dorothy >

It has always been a pretty good indicator of where I am on proper dose. Too little thyroid = constipated, too much = too loose. Not that it means anything now. No matter where I am I am still feeling hypo and awful. Dorothy

Guest guest
Hi Leisa, I am new to T3 (10 weeks) so I am not sure how to tell how much I need. But I haven't been tracking temps so I am in the dark. I still feel hypo which is why I was confused. I think leaky gut can have several causes but candida is definitely one of the biggest. I have never tried Candex. I just bought caprilyic acid so he will start on that soon. Trying to add one thing at a time. I used to buy a liquid probiotic that was more effective than any brand but it is not being made anymore. I have thought of making my own kefir and yogurt but haven't gotten there yet. I still need a good, inexpensive probiotic, if you have one in mind. I used to use Continental acidophilus and while it didn't have many strains, it was high potency and effective. I tried another liquid probiotic but I didnt' like it - no effect. Thanks for your post. I will research Candex. Marti > > > > > > Hi Sol and Dorothy, > > > Well, I have done some experimenting in the last two weeks and sure enough this is happening to me too. I haven't had leakage but I have had a terrible urgency to go (24/7). Very uncomfortable. And a lot of cramping as well. > > > > > > This is happening when I moved past 50mcg. At 50mcg, I seem to have normals stools. Obviously, I have come back to 50mcg. > > > > > > But, like Dorothy, I still feel really fatigued, light headed, just plain blah. > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Marti, So smart for 1 at a time. Caprylic acid, and other anti fungals work by killing the candida, so there is "die-off" and the toxins that go with it. Candex is a formula of enzymes thay break the cell wall. Both are important. I was taking pearls and ohiras and primal defense(rotating). But realized that for candida we need 50 billoin a day. Ive recently purchased on made by sunflower market(local chain) its so different. I FEEL it working. So I have hope for it, Ill let you know. leisa Subject: Re: RBC mineral resultsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, May 14, 2009, 11:10 PM Hi Leisa,I am new to T3 (10 weeks) so I am not sure how to tell how much I need. Guest guest
Marti, Would you mind telling the name and ingredients of your liquid t3? Also, I assume you have nothing to compare it to, but do you feel it is strong or weak? Is it easy to dose..and any other thoughts about it. Leisa Subject: Re: RBC mineral resultsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, May 14, 2009, 11:06 PM Hi Val,I have had a busy time with graduation, cleaning, etc. that I have not been tracking temps or pulse. I will do so next week when things settle down. I do not feel hyper so I was surprised to have such a reaction to a low dose of T3. But I am glad to have a reaction and will live with it if that is what I need to clear out the reverse T3.So, if my temps, pulse and symptoms do not show that I am hyper, do I increase past 50mcg and push through the symptoms? It has been 10 weeks. I have read that it sometimes takes high T3 doses to clear out RT3 and that it can take a long time. I am working on fixing ferritin and cortisol but I know they are not fixed yet. I am using the liquid T3 and estimating 1ml = 100mcg (instead of 150mcg as label states). So I am taking 1/2 ml in 4 divided doses.I forgot to add that when I was up at 70mcg, I had some discomfort in my throat. Felt like swelling. It would resolve itself by the next dose. Is that something I should worry about? Thanks for your help,Marti>> I was gettign IBS on a MUCH lower dose of T3 than I am taking now,, I > knew iwas nto hyper as I was trackign temps, pulse and etc.. but amazing > thing, as I came off HC it got better, thn once off HC addin in potassium > CURED it.
