Guest guest
Zephyr, I am so excited for you about the upcoming birth of your son. I want to share with you that I am a " birth mother " . I had to give my daughter up at birth 10 years ago. I was not involved in picking the adoptive parents because I would not have been able to handle that. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but if I would have known that my daughter was going to a home that was as loving and wonderful as yours, I would have been ecstatic. I do know that my daughter went to a very good home because I got reports on her once a year for the first five years of her life. I am so happy for you and your child to be. You and your husband will be fabulous parents. You can tell how much love the two of you have for the new addition to your family from your e-mails. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the birth and adoption process. The birth mother is very lucky to have you. You are doing a remarkable job with your quitting smoking and weight loss. Keep up the great work. Keep us posted on everything that happens. Guest guest
Tracey, I sat and cried and cried when I read your letter. Thank you so much, I can not describe how your words touched me. This whole experience is so scary all the what ifs I feel like I am waling on eggshells all the time. My best friend adopted her son 5 years ago and she said I would feel this way until I am home with little baby Skyler. I printed out your letter and will hang it on my fridge as a reminder and a source of encouragement as we all go through this process together. Thank you so much again though those words do not seem adequate for the gift you have given me. I will keep your daughter in my prayers that she may be happy, well and loved. Guest guest
Zephyr, You just brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad my talking about my experience was able to help you. I just hope you know how important you and your husband are. Like I told you before, if I would have known I had wonderful people like you and your husband there to adopt my daughter I would have been jumping for joy. My ultimate dream is that my " birth daughter " will want to meet me when she is old enough. I want her to know that she was put up for adoption out of love, not because she was not wanted. Sorry I rambled on. Thank you for listening. You are very special. Keep up the good work. Please keep me posted as your adoption goes forward. If there is ever anything I can do, please let me know.
