Rita, I announced to family and friends at 13 weeks. I remember being

somewhere though at six months and someone asking when we were going to adopt

again -- and I said I'm pregnant! Some of my husbands relatives didn't even

know I was pregnant until I was close to the third trimester.

Hi, I'm trying to catch up I've been pretty busy lately. Rita I'm so happy

to here everything is going well for you and your Baby. It makes me feel

better hearing some good stories finally. I'm scheduled for my Lap/Hyst 7/9.

I'm excited but extremely nervous.

Hi Rita,

I can not answer the specifics about carrying to term after

resection...but I am interested in the answers and I will keep an eye

out for them.

As for to tell or not to tell, I understand your plight. It is a

difficult choice and I hope you and your DH find the answers you need

to make the decision. Good luck!

My RE told me that he believes I have as much chance as a woman who has never

had a septum of having a normal pg; they aren't even treating me as " high

risk " , other than the fact that it's twins .I see my ob every other week and

have u/s once a month, but that is still considered to be rather

conservative; in my twins birth class, which has twelve people in it, most of

the women are having *weekly* vaginal u/s to check cervix.

I felt pretty ok with announcing my pg at twelve wks-but then again, I didn't

have a lot of choice, I was already popping out. I think you're overthinking

this a bit. your doc seems very confident with your odds; I think you should

" unveil " the pg!

Hi Rita

I can't believe you are 13 weeks already - congratulations that's

wonderful milestone to reach!

Having read your post my own train of thought is this - you've been

told the risks are less than 1% - so by all accounts less than the

average person without a history of a septum - your septum is hardly

a septum at 0.5cm and from what I know there is no reason why your

uterus shouldn't behave like anyone elses irrespective of surgery.

Remember that so many women carry to term with a septum and it's not

even noticed until birth simply because it has stretched and moved

out of the way to accommodate the baby anyway. So, in short, my

advice would be to steam ahead like any one else at this point and

shout from the rooftops!
