Dear FORUM,

Two main reasons for higher probability of STIV infection among MSM;

(i) higher chances of frictional injury in anal compared to vaginal intercoorse

and

(ii) lesser use of condoms among MSM and others of alternative sexual behaviour

due to unfair social stigma against them in the mainstream society and the the

unfair provision in the Indian Penal Code making

sexual intercourse " against the order of nature " a crime.
