Guest guest
Hello all, My son has disabilities that were caused by prenatal exposure to the prescription drug (for acne) called Accutane/Roaccutane. There has been no networking among the parents and I am attempting to locate others. As stated on the CHARGE homepage under symptoms overlapping with CHARGE, Accutane Embryopathy is well known for ear malformations, as well as heart, thymus, parathyroid, brain malformations. There is a large variety in the combination of symptoms an individual child will have---much of this depending on the particular time during pregnancy that the embryo/fetus was exposed to the drug. Do any of you guys have a history of taking Accutane? I would love to hear from you! You can contact me here, or at the new group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/accutane_embryopathy I have posted a couple polls to help me know if there are any parents on this list. I would REALLY appreciate your feedback, as there is NO network to connect with other parents. The relatively few whose identity is known to researchers are in confidence so networking was not encouraged/facilitated. Anyone involved in legal action re: the drug was also prohibited from discussing it. So, please, if any one here wants to contact our new group, you can do so asconfidentially as you wish. Thank you, embryopathy
