Hi Joann,

Welcome to RSD-CRPS of America. I too have RSD of the right hand and arm. It started in July 2000 and has since spread across the back of my shoulders and neck and into my right leg and foot. I like you also get the horrible migraines. My doctor has me on Baclofen and oxygen therapy for that. For the pain I am using Ms contin both ER and IR and Topamax. I also have fibromaylagia and chronic fatigue syndrome, high blood pressure, so take several other drugs beside.

You might try asking the doc to switch you from the nuerontin to topamax. I used to get really sleepy and moody on that drug. Just a suggestion as the drugs and treatments affect everyone differently.

Again welcome to the group and I look forward to getting to know you better.]

sick of pain!!!!!!!!!

Hi, My name is joann I'm a new member and really need any support any one could give me since I'm not getting much at home I have RSD in my right upper extremity and I'm right hand dominant. I fell on a patch of ice on 01-08-02 my life has changed dramatically I'm 37 yrs old I'm married for 18 yrs now and I have 3 beautiful children. The pain is so intence that I get migranes, and now my left leg and foot hurts alot I don't know if the RSD is spreading or is this arthritis my pain management said to see a Ruematologist it could be Ruematoid arthritis. I take neurontin and percocet it really is not helping. for example in themorning i take 600 mg of neurontin and 500mg of percocet I start feeling it's effect like 20min to half an hour and what happens to me if i don't sleep it off i feel like a zombie through out the day i really hate that feeling. My husband was supportive in the begining and now he says all i do is nag all i tell him is to lower his mouth he tends to talk very loud and the med's make me sensitive to noise. I feel very lonely and depress I Hate this monster that took over my life now i don't have one.
