Guest guest
--- In MullerianAnomalies@y..., HI Kathy.. and Welcome!! I know you will find some answers here!! These people are the best!! I'm not familiar with UU, I am SU- resected 3/00, and I don't know much about a high FSH level? but we are the same age and I have been taking Gonal-F for my last 2 cycles. Unfortunatly for me-it worked too well both times and I was " cancelled " due to too many follicles and too much of a risk of high multiples. I assume you are doing an IUI?? And.. that you are going to be frequently monitored by US during the next week or so.. so I can tell you what to expect. They are going to watch that one follicle in your " good " side closely(and it is a good sign that there is only one!!) and when it gets to around 17mm in size they will either have you TTC or if you are doing an HCG shot -they will tell you when to give it.Then you will have your IUI 36 hours after that. I have had no side effects from the Gonal-F aside from a slight headache in the first few days I was taking it and then because I was cancelled abnormally long cylces. I hope this helps and keep me posted!! Wally
Guest guest
Hi Wally, thank you so much for your email. Your email was helpful. Yesterday we had our us and decided we would move forward with IUI - little nervous about what to expect. I have taken the HCG shot yesterday, so today is the IUI. The one egg on the good size did grow to a healthy 19cc - very pleased with the size. I am trying to keep positive thoughts that is may be successful for us. Thanks for the information about the gonal-f. I had the exact same reaction. Day 3 I had a terrible headache which went on for two days. After that I seemed to have no other side effect. My RE did say if this is not a successful cycle, next month he would increase the doses to 3 IU per night. Thanks Kathy Please respond to MullerianAnomalies To: MullerianAnomalies cc: (bcc: Kathy Cavallini/SB/GAPINC) Subject: Re: New Member with UU
