Guest guest
Well, if Win ME can be reloaded right over the old one, and not cause any probs with your other software - it is different than Win 95 or 98. I have heard that it is more user friendly, so perhaps that is true. I really don't know about this.

Your computer is still under warranty...if you aren't satisfied, RETURN IT! Nothing more frustrating than a computer acting stupid! Guest guest
No....Corky only had trouble using ICQ and chatting because Java was not enabled on her computer.............I think enabling that cured her problem. I do know that it at least did as far as chatting went.....I'm not sure about ICQ.

Guest guest
Well it fixed it for a while, then it went out and froze again when I tried to click on url's that Joya sent me in icq. I went to windows update and downloaded a java virtual machine, which I think \fixed it but am not sure as Joya hasn't sent me anything lately. Joya, send me something when you get a chance OK? I have been told by a couple of techs that there are known problems with Windows ME. I don't much like it but we are stuck with it. Dianne, can you downgrade to windows 98? I could have within the first thirty days and now I wish I did. corky Re: Robin - Joya - Corky puter problems > No....Corky only had trouble using ICQ and chatting because Java was not > enabled on her computer.............I think enabling that cured her problem. > I do know that it at least did as far as chatting went.....I'm not sure > about ICQ. > > > > Please visit our homepage at http://members.xoom.com/AChallengers > You will find information, recipes, before and after pictures. > To contact the list owner please send mail to lindag@... > Visit our 2000 Train Tour Site - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l/web_site_train_tour/actraintour.htm > > >
