Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Sub: Antiretroviral drug access in South Asia I am looking for information on antiretroviral drug availability and mechanisms of access in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal). Specifically 1 is there regulation of antiretroviral drug access via a government program? 2. What are the criteria for access of antiretroviral drugs via the national program? 3. When did the national program on antiretroviral drug access start? 4. Is regulation effective or can antiretrovirals be purchased in shops without restriction? 5. What drugs are available and are they generic? From which companies? Thank you. This is for an official report. I am grateful for your time and information Suzanne Crowe Professor Suzanne Crowe Head, AIDS Pathogenesis and Clinical Research Program NHMRC Principal Research Fellow Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health Commercial Road, Melbourne, GPO Box 2284, Melbourne, 3001, Australia Tel: +61 3 9282 2194, Fax: +61 3 9282 2142 E-mail: crowe@...
