Guest guest
If I sneeze or cough too hard I pee my pants, too. Awful, isn't it? I did it at work one day when I had leggings on and I was mortified. Stayed in my seat except for quick dashes to the bathroom. Guest guest
Plus the more births the higher the incidence of bladder problems. I can't sneeze, cough or move abruptly and I am MUCH younger than NNN and others! Guest guest
>Plus the more births the higher the incidence of bladder problems. I can't >sneeze, cough or move abruptly and I am MUCH younger than NNN and others! >No Name in Illinois Definitely! I had a hysterectomy 12 years ago and three *months* after the hysterectomy had to have the bladder suspension. I will never do something like that to my body again -- two major surgeries in three months is too much for the body to take. But the doctor WAS surprised, since I've never had any children OR ever been pregnant. He said usually the woman has been pregnant and the bladder has already fallen. He told me I was fairly unique in my situation, but not unheard of. Lucky me! Well I've been sleeping pretty much for the last couple of days. This flu is one nasty bugger. Usually at this point with the flu, I am feeling part of the human race again, but I still feel like crap and am really tired of this. I'm doing the echinacea and vitamin c and plenty of fluids thing, and then trying to sleep really deep twice a day which requires double doses of Nyquil [which is not a problem for me since I tend to not get any effect from 'normal' doses of meds]. But I just want to START feeling better! This has been going on since Tuesday. My boss has been great about this, especially since I had the stomach-flu in early December and lost 4 days then. He told me to let him know on Monday how I'm doing -- sounds like he's anticipating my feeling crappy still. He knows I feel awful about not doing any work from home, but my stamina on the computer is about 10 minutes, if that. I think I'd cry if it wouldn't plug my entire head up! Hopefully Tuesday or so I'll be able to return to work [i hope I hope I hope]. Simmie dazed and confused [literally]

Guest guest
It IS really nasty Dianne. The strain I got is the flu AND a nasty cold -- on both counts, they're worse than I've had in 20 years. I have a friend in Texas who has the high fever along with it and she is not happy -- she's had it since New Year's Day. I cannot imagine having the flu along with doing Radiation -- Radiation zaps all your energy to begin with. Guest guest
Dear Simmie sorry to hear you are sick i find the echinacae with the goldenseal works much better.. and now that you are feeling better make yourself lots of soups with cayenne and garlic in them if you dont mind the taste. if you are getting sick so often you need to boost your immune system.. grape seed extract is another good thing.. plus make sure your vit C is natural and not ascorbic acid.. flax seed oil is another good thing to take for the immune system catherine -----
Guest guest
I know alot of people are against flu shots, but I had the flu ONCE about 7 years ago. I would never take the flu shot because I thought it had made me sick the one time I did. Since that bout of it, I get one every year. I always talk whatever employer I have into providing it at work - even if we have to pay for it ourselves to ensure that all of us get it. I have not been dissappointed in the results. I havent' had it since I've started getting the shots. I'm surprised that your friends dr didn't get her one. Unless it's not really the flu that all of you have. Has it begun yet? Not here yet, but then I think it starts West and moves East? I also got the pneumonia shot a year ago. It's good for 5 or 10 years. After that old bout with the flu - I got pneumonia from never taking off and getting myself rested while I was sick.

Well I was off one week and should have been off two weeks last year with the flu, so I was planning on getting the flu shot this year, but when I tried, they were out of the vaccine. As for getting the flu shot *now*, they will not give you the shot when you're in the middle of a raging case of the flu, which both myself and my friend in Texas are going through. And yes, it is definitely the flu, no doubt about it. The flu is in full form here in California, I know it's hit people in Texas and Indiana and Pennsylvania, so that seems to just about cover it. But I guess it has to do with where you live and how quickly things spread, how populated of an area you're in, etc.

Guest guest
Well if it's the flu you have - all that respiratory stuff - I definitely feel for you. We got it right when the vaccine started coming out - before they really were aware that there was going to be a shortage of it.
