Guest guest
On the responsibility part: If that is the case we should not be treating or make the followeing pts pay for their medical bills: Alcoholics w/ Cirrhosis (Responsible for not controlloing etOh intake) HIV pt due to drug or sex (responsible for not using a condom/sharing a niddle) Melanoma pt who spent too many hours on the beach (self expenatory) Lung CA and COPD due to smoking, even if quit 20 yrs ago. Asthma due to mother smoked while pregan (mother should pay the bills) And I am just " getting wormed up " as Al Paccino said in Scent of a Woman) These are all cases of " personal responcibility " related disease. It feels that today society like to pick on obesity. In my opinion, if w pick on obese people, we better pick on the above too.
