Guest guest
Hi to everybody. I haven't posted in a while as things haven't been good here since way back in July '04. I am so very tired of all of this like so many of the postings are saying right now, and don't know what to do about it. I was turned down for SSD, again, and my husband just had to have back surgery for the second time in 15 months as well as a shoulder surgery inbetween the two. He is fighting with Worker's Comp and the possibility he will not ever be able to go back to work and having to fight with SSD, too. The stress makes the pain so much worse and the doctors around here don't believe in giving pain medication. I would like to go jump off a real cliff instead of the one my body is falling from by itself, without my brain. Does anybody have any information about getting your doctor to help more on the SSD? Also, on getting some sort of pain medication? The doctor knows how much I am hurting and has even made things worse with examinations, but still won't give any sort of relief. I have Fibro, as well as, Ankylosing Spondylitis, major insomnia (for which I use Ambien {10 m.g.}), depression I am taking Elavil (10 mg) for, and possible Polymyalgia Rheumaticia. Man, I could use some help right now! Thanks to all and I hope things are more pain free for the group then I am experiencing right now. Guest guest
Hi Suz, Wow, you have a very full plate. I can understand your frustration about medication. I was in that situation a few years ago. I went to a pain clinic finally and was blessed with a good doctor. It seems criminal that a doctor will not perscribe the appropriate medication for someone who has chronic pain. It is a documented fact that untreated chronic pain causes all sorts of other problems in the body. I'm sending you healing thoughts and prayers, Kathleen
