Guest guest
Hi Liz: Sorry to meet you under these circumstances. However, it is wonderful not to feel alone. I originally started with a neurologist in Huntington who told me that I had a Motor Neuron disease and referred me to Dr. Halperin, North Shore Hosp. in Manhasset. He referred me to Dr. Hiroshi Mitsumoto at Columbia Presbyterian to see if I might be able to participate in his research. One of the many tests done there was by Dr. Gooch, who you mentioned. There is still no definite diagnosis either slow progressing ALS or PLS. I use Dr. Halperin as my primary neurologist because he is involved in ALS research, was recommended on the ALS website and was listed in the New York magazine as one of the best doctors in NY in 2001. I live in Commack LI. I am relatively new to the PLS community as I was diagnosed with MND on June 6, 2001 Where are you located...maybe we might talk. Bebe Leon Social1997@...
