Are you in New York?

Sharon

Re: Thoughts and Prayers

I don't have much time right now... I know we have two or three in the New York area and one near Washington DC. I hope everyone is alright. This has just brought everything to a standstill in my house - the big headquarters for Rick's business was in one of the Towers. I'll post more after the girls are in bed tonight.

~~

,

Is any of the regulars on here from Washington or New York? I would like to know they are ok. I am in total shock and can think of nothing else.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers for everyone affected by

this tragedy. It's really amazing to see people come together like

this and it should always be like this. My family and I are fine,

Thank God. Needless to say I did not go in to work today, but would

rather be at home with my daughter. Continue the prayers because as

of now they've had 9 survivors pulled from the rumble (6 firefighters

and 3 officers)!!

(I hope I stay OP today since I'm home!)

informed on how you are doing, ok? I will pray for you all.

My prayers are with you and everyone else who has family involved. Heck, that would also include everyone in the U.S. Maybe not family, but we are all involved.

Re: Thoughts and Prayers

No - I'm in Washington. We are about as far away as you can get physically. Rick works for Blue Shield and the CEO office was in one of the Towers. Very sad - I hope the morning brings some good news with survivors.

I work here at Beth Israel Medical Center on 14th st in NYC which is close to the WTC. When right out of my window I saw the tower on fire with a gaping hole and within minutes I watched as a large plane crashed into the other tower. I can't believe this!!! The buildings were holding up pretty well but a while later they both collapsed like a demolition. Everything was shut down here in NYC; there was no way in or out of the city. > My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in New York, Washington

DC, and PA. In light of this cowardly act of terrorism, please donate

blood if you are able. I kept my two oldest home from school today.

They both witnessed the collapse of the twin towers. We are all in

shock and disbelief. We have a picture of New York by our dining

room... we all just keep looking at it. I'm so sorry if anyone here

has suffered a loss. I don't know what else to say...

>

> ~~

My thoughts and prayers are also with all of those who were hurt

killed and affected by this hanious act. I have two friends one who

works in the trade center ( he was 4 blocks away getting materials

that morning ) and one who works close by and took 18 hours to get

home and was so shaken by this. What a horrible thing to go through

or to even watch. I watched the second plane hit the tower and it was

a horrible thing to see. I hope and pray I will never see anything

like it again.

How merciful God was to have spared both your friends. This is simply beyond belief for all of us.
