Guest guest
Welcome to the group Jane! Believe me we all know that feeling of " Oh my gosh, how did I get that heavy " . I was shocked when I realized that I had gotten up to 225, and now I am down almost 30 pounds and feeling great! I also have a long way to go, my goal is 140-150, but I feel like I have come this far and I will be able to make it to there. I too have bought clothes because they were on sale, and then decided that I didn't really like them or the way they looked so I would take them back. Keep up the great work!!!! Guest guest
Hi Jane! Welcome to a great board. I know what you mean about water!! At weigh in yesterday I gained this week (2#), I hadn't drank enough of my water this last week. I really poured on the water yesterday (about 85 oz of it) I was curious so I decided to weigh in today and I was down 2 1/2 #!! That has taught me I have to drink, drink, & drink some more! Lois I have been kind of lurking... I think I introduced myself and that is it! I want to participate more though...so here goes!I started out..well..okay not started out..I STOPPED at 231..I could not believe it when I got on the Dr's scale and saw that weight..I always asked myself when would be enough...when when when. The dr. did find out I had an insulin resistance disease and that, she said was a deciding factor in my weight gain..and yes I had been walking, and kind of dieting...but I did things I knew that were not condusive to weight loss..like Mc's, like drinking, like big breakfasts and not drinking any water that did not have coffee of coke in it LOL...SO I stopped it. My Dr. gave me a book called sugarbusters and I did follow a lot of principles in the book..and joined the gym..I managed to get down to 200-199 and I stopped losing...but I went back to the same old story..knowing that not drinking water and watching what I ate all of the time would not help me lose weight. I did not gain..but that is really because I kept up with my exercise. I joined weightwatchers on the 13th and weigh in tomorrow..I am sure I have lost about 5 lbs. in 2 week..and I am drinking water..a lot of water AND I feel great...4 more lbs. and I will have lost 40 lbs. since that day last OCT.. I know I still have a long way to go..I want to reach a goal wt. of 135-138 so that is just short of 100 lbs. ANYWAY..I went to the store today and I picked up 6 tops...because frankly, in the past 1 out of 6 might be decent... I tried on all 6 shirts and loved everyone of them! I bought all 6..they were on sale. I felt so good about myself I went to walmart and picked up 2 new pair of work out pants! jane ------------------------------------------------------------This message was sent using a free web-based email tool fromMyCoupons.com....part of the DirectStuff.com Community...Want Freebies? http://www.MyFreebies.comNeed Gift Certificates? http://www.directCertificates.com
