Guest guest
I went to a neurosurgeon for my spinal fusion. I figured if a Dr. is able to operate on someone's brain, I would feel more comfy with them on my spine. I have a Ortho & his wife whom I love. He takes care of my knees but, I would not let take care of my spine. Just my feelings. Guest guest
I went to a neurosurgeon, too, about the loss of feeling in my right leg. His deduction after many tests and about 2 hours in the MRI machine, was that I was wearing my pants too tight! I finally found out that it was because of destroyed discs in my back, something he couldn't figure out. Sometimes the 'experts', aren't. Could, too, have been a bad MRI machine. I have one bulging disk that has probably been there for years and never caused any problems. They found that, along with the fracture with the first MRI I had. Second fracture they found with a good x-ray. I was so obvious even I could see it in the x-ray. Guest guest
Do you realize that a person can become a Dr as long as he has graduated with a D+???? It's a sorry fact, Hate to know what some of those dr's got! --------------------------------- Moody friends. Drama queens. Your life? Nope! - their life, your story. Play Sims Stories at Games. Guest guest
Hi . I have been operated on twice by a neurosurgeon and will have my 3rd operation in a couple of months by a orthopedic. I don't really know which is better but I've had 2 neurosurgeons and I really liked the fact that they were very blunt with all possibilities. The ortho I am seeing has taken a LOT of time to sit with me, talk to me, do office evals, etc. The last appt he was with me in the room for a good 30 minutes. With the neuros, getting 5 minutes was a challenge. THis may just be the individual drs i saw but the ortho is much more comprehensive for me. plus he is so specialized and is very up to date on technology. he's hoping to insert an artificial disc above my last fused site. don't know if this helps but thought i'd chime in [ ] Neoro vs. Orthopedic Surgeon I am going different appointments getting second and third opinion on spinal surgery for the lower back. I am also getting experiences from lots of patients also. Some people go to neuro-surgeons and some went to orthopedic surgeons. Does anyone have info or experiences on these type surgeons and which is more beneficial? Thanks
