Guest guest
We bought a Gazelle Power Plus a few months ago and I couldn’t use it longer than 2 minutes because my muscles would burn so badly. My husband put it on no resistance and I tried it out… I can do it now! 5 minutes at a time. We both agree that activity = exercise for me so I don’t need any resistance. Anything above and beyond normal every day activity is worth it. So I am starting with 5 minutes a day as I can.
Guest guest
HURRAY GINA! That's GREAT to hear! We've been thinking about buying one too- It looks like a terrific way to keep all the joints working smooth! ------------------------------ Yah! That’s the thing, you can add the arms in or not, and if you set it on least resistance like Tony Little is using on the box, you’ll get the activity without the muscle strain. Had someone told me in July I should exercise, I’d have smacked ‘em! September was really the turning point when I said I couldn’t stand this any more and needed a change and started to work on a few things. I still worry about this coming summer – I don’t know if each summer will be like the last. Ughhh...
Guest guest
Haha!!! ! "takes too much space and usually go unused" - Well, i hope this wont be the case with your new Gazelle! I really admire you - this does take a whole lot of self-motivation. I went and bought myself one of those exercise balls - and so far, all i ever use it for is to lay on and stretch my back. (I haven't even opened the exercise poster!!!!!) -- i also ordered these "Miracle Balls" (still waiting for those to arrive in the mail) - We'll see what i'll REALLY end up doing with those.... LOL! Sorry your hands are hurting so bad today... boy, i sure do know THAT feeling all too well... I'll be over here cheering you on - again: I really do admire your efforts as i know how difficult and painful it is. -Jaana Re: Whoo hoo! , what is a Gazelle Power Plus? -Jaana ------------------------------------------------------------------------ One of those big, clunky exercise machines that take up too much space and usually go unused. I know someone who found one in the newspaper for $25, but we bought ours on sale at a sporting goods store. One of my best energy level times is around midnight for some weird reason, so last night I actually spent TEN minutes on this thing with my legs not beginning to burn until about minute 7. I was totally impressed. Then I was asleep within 25 minutes after that! If I can do 5-10 minutes without pain every day and try to work up to 20, I could possibly wave goodbye to a few pounds and hello to more energy from the endorphins.
