Zolpidem is generic for Ambien?

I just got my refill for Ambien from my mail order insurance and I see

that I have only been charged 12.50 for 3 months AND they list it as

Zolpidem which is the generic for Ambien? I didn't know it had a

generic already but I am not complaining. I was paying 30.00 a month

for 30 pills. Has anyone else noticed this?
