Guest guest
Oh Jayne NO need to apologize. So sorry that you are having a bad time. Get some rest. Maybe things will look a bit better in the morning and drink piles of water before you go to bed so that wine will not make you feel bad. Guest guest
OMGosh...............Jayne...........You are going to have a headach!!! I think you shudda took a bubble bath instead of drinking all that bubbly. I must admit ...my only cheat lately has been wine, but I have not over-done it. We are heading out to my MIL's in a few minutes and will spend tomorrow with my family. I am hoping a " few select " people here on the list are " behaving " a little better than what I have been reading here. Laru and Mom are watching!! Guest guest
I always just told my kids...'Hey, if you can't do what I want you to do, I can't do what you want ME to do.' It worked about 75% of the time. What's Vaseline glass?

Guest guest
Robin i do say that but as they are getting older they pretty much say .. well i dont care.. cus they dont really need me for much but thats that is the only way i can get them to do anything is to flip out and act like a crazy person.. vaseline glass i just discoverd this fall at an antique show its kinda yellow green and under a black lite it glows.. its like depression glass but a neat color.. Joya. i did a search for it on the web a while back and found a few pieces. most of it is under a hundred dollars. small pieces go for about 20 -----
Guest guest
The depression glass sounds pretty cool - and I don't see anything at all abnormal with jumping around acting like a crazy person when you need to. My kids just always got reminded that I was still buying their clothes and supplying all their money, etc. It works until they support themselves (does that ever really happen?) and then you have to be a martyr to get them to do what you want! Guest guest
Oh Jayne, quite the temper for such a little person. I am glad I am not the only one that gets so mad I could just scream. Here I sit alone. My mother, who was supposed to come over this afternoon, is carting my sister up to the hospital to see the other person who was supposed to come to dinner tomorrow. At this rate, I will be throwing out an eight lb. ham. I just finished making Spritz cookies, should have made a double batch, but it was a new recipe and didn't know how they would come out. Actually it was my SIL's tried and true recipe, which I love, but had never made before. Wish I could have a glass of wine, I'd drink about a dozen and hate myself in the morning. I hope you have sweet dreams Janie. corky Eve > Let's see, I'm having a wonderful day. Came home from the super market > still determined to make a nice evening for Emad and me. Guest guest
I drank enough in my youth to float a boat. I gave up alcohol as not being good for me. Guest guest
I was thinking that earlier and then I thought, everyone will know I am alone on Christmas eve if I go out for a walk, how sick is that? Guest guest
Were you cooking that ham for today or tomorrow? You Mom and Sis will probably be over - don't worry. I wish you lived here, you could come here.
Guest guest
Oh thanks you are sweet. It is for tomorrow. I invited my mom over for Christmas eve to spend the night. I was going to cook dinner, have some shrimp, homemade cookies, a fire. And I wanted to go to a christmas light show if it was open. But who the heck knows when she will get here. I shouldn't complain, the poor lady in the hospital has been laying there since Thursday and no one knew it nor could reach her. That's not a nice way to spend Christmas. I am going to start my fire for myself in a few minutes. Thanks for the invite, where do you live again? corky Re: Eve > Were you cooking that ham for today or tomorrow?
