Rec'd the winter 2001 issue of the Atkins Direct Mag. Its definitely mainly

self promotion, commercialism at its best. I still think all their products

are way overpriced to order from atkinscenter.com but it does give some

recipes and I might hunt a few of their products down from other websites

for less in the prices.

Was a good day to read it being day one of Induction for me :)

Reminds me where I want to go. I think I had the Atkins vitamins somewhere

not sure if I tossed them or not I should go dig them up.

Here is a recipe out of it .. with so much leftover turkey someone might

want to try this.

Lyssa

Turkey Chili with Zucchini

prep & cook time 45 min. # of servs. 6

Nutrition per serv. total carbs. 8.6 g, prot 34.6 g, fat 17.4 g, cals 337.5

2 tsp. grapeseed or veg oil

2 1/2 lbs ground turkey

1 package Goldwater's Senator chili mix * course they want you to order this

at $13.99/3 boxes but I'm sure you could just substitute (mix of chili

powder, garlic, cumin, oregano, dried onion, salt and cayenne)

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup low-carb tomato puree or sauce

1 cup water

2 med. zukes, scrubbed & cut into 1/4 " pieces

1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add turkey meat and cook

until no longer pink, breaking up with a wooden spoon. Pour off liquid. Sir

in salt and chili mix.

2. Add tomato puree and water. Mix well. Simmer covered 30 minutes, stirring

occasionally. Mix in zucchini, cook 10 minutes more, until zucchini is

tender.
