Guest guest
As far as Oprah, I would be glad to write, speak, share, whatever. I teach Public speaking, writing and other communications classes at the University. I think writing Oprah is a great idea. I am also a leader with the Arthritis Foundation so maybe I could also write to her under that title. What do you think? Wouldn't that be fun? I don't want to jump in and take over everyone else's ideas but I am willing to be a leader in this endeavor. I think if Gillian and I BOTH wrote (maybe others too?) we could cover 'the world " . This is the address for Oprah can be found at her website: www.oprah.com Hey group, let me know if I can jump in here and get involved? What do you think Gillian?? Guest guest
If someone is successful with Oprah, she usually pays for plane tickets and hotels for all the guests. Be sure to mention to Oprah that there are 260 of us on the list and that our list has been alive for 437 days now and that we cover the globe. \ , List founder
Guest guest
Gill, I enjoy reading your emails and have to try to not end up on the floor laughing. Can you talk like how you write in public in front of television cameras? God help us all! Yes, the show would fly in anyone if they wanted to do the story. Anyone have the address to send emails in and get them wondering about PA? Gill have you sent in a sampling of your letters? Pat B

Guest guest
I too wrote to Ophrah, more than once. I have sent her the book Twice An Angel. I just give her a taste of what it is all about hoping she will do a story. No luck yet, Connie, MI
Guest guest
I heard from one of the current magazines that Oprah may not keep doing the talk show that she is famous for. In that case, we need to write her with great urgency. Donna

I can send her reports from the Universzity that does the testing and studies every year. I thought that would be a great show for her b/c soo many people are effected, but I have never heard anything back- maybe if we all try it would be considered!!!! - -- In , JEFF DELAZZER <jdelazzer@...> wrote: > > , > OH my goodness I was laughing when I read your post because I recently thought about the same thing. Guest guest
Oprah In order to get Oprah interested in this issue, there would have to be a celebrity who has it. Ask the folks with Parkinson's disease what J. Fox did for their cause, as far as funding and notoriety. Unfortunately, there is still no cure for that disease, either. Maybe Warren Buffets's money will help--one of the things his donated money is supposedly earmarked for is to find cures for the top 12 diseases. I would think arthritis would be on that list. Guest guest
Ah....I actually have a photo of the " BEEVE " holding my daughter at a big Home Show where he and " Eddie " were signing autographs. Beaver was quite miserable as humans go and Eddie was very jovial.....just the opposite of the characters they played. I found that interesting. I also must brag that I have a photo of my daughter with Bill Cosby....and she is giving him bunny ears behind his head. lol. She ended up sitting on stage with him at a concert a few years ago. It was a wonderful experience. They traded kind hearted insults back and forth for about 15 minutes. Every time he would say something funny, she would fall back on the stage floor on her back and laugh her little tail off. Finally, he bellowed " WHERE is the MOTHER??? " and I sheepishly walked to the stage. He took my hands in his and said " Whyyyyyyyy do you Giiiiiiiiive (give) this child alcohol???????? Guest guest
There is a place in her website (www.oprah.com) where you can post suggestions for future shows. I think it would be a great and very informative show. With all the folks out there who are in pain and who haven't been diagnosed, it could be way to get them help sooner. It would definitely be a service to PA sufferers everywhere. > > How do we email into her show...she talks about everything > else if enough of her contact her maybe she would consider it. > I feel especially bad for the kids out there who have it. > Joy > >

Guest guest
She's had two surgeries for crippling arthritis, but I don't find any reference to psoriasis or the psoriatic flavor of arthritis. Guest guest
I didn't see the show, but don't you all think looking toward someone in the media will never work? The Gardsil in the middle of Oprah's show is her sponsor and would create a conflict of interest. Anyone else see this? As long as there are Drugs being advertised and sponsoring programs, they would be hurting themselves if they spoke out against their sponsors. God forbid they stand up for the truth and do the right thing. Money speaks and influences more than truth in integrity in the media, in my opinion. All anyone has to do, if they really want to know the truth is to look at the autism epidemic in England that started about three years after they increased the number of mercury containing vaccines in the 80's. Then we did it in the 90's and by mid 90's we in the USA had an epidemic, then China in the mid 90's increased their number of mercury containing vaccines and they had a dramatic rise in autism. There is your proof. It just makes me sick. ---- Markman <cath4476@...> wrote: > did what she had to do. Politely, " motherly " and with emotion. It spoke volumes. Guest guest
Absolutely, yes, thank you for standing up and saying what we all know. I have to say, as soon as I heard that pediatrician say that vaccines have been refuted, I wanted to turn it off and chalk it up to yet another disappointing show after getting my hopes up, but she stood up to that doctor and said, no, you can't prove that all of these vaccines aren't harmful. Way to go, . And thank you Oprah for allowing her to take that stand and not being another mainstream media that spews more of the same nonsense. Let's hope that now she will have a show that focuses on the biomedical, because I think of all the talk shows and news shows, she's the only one that would have the guts to do it. > > > In a message dated 4/5/2007 3:16:33 P.M. Guest guest
I will give you the benefit of the doubt for now, but I see only reason to loose my enthusiasm for both NAA and Safeminds. Why is it that the day she appears on Oprah, that she is named to the board of directors of these 2 groups and for tha matter why both. There also does not appear mention in the press release of her family and their other involvements. I am not plugged in to this soap opra(h), but it seems to me that she and her family are taking autism and all of us for a ride. I don't think we need them. When they take over A-champ or perhaps the lsits, I will loose all respect, and stop tuning into this show. sincerely and with all due respect, Joe Marciano > > We are gratified that she has become a Board > Member of NAA and SafeMinds.
