Guest guest
>> You've got the gist of the therapist's comments I guess I'm just interested if MAs worry more than " normal " people or not. I know no one should take anything for granted. I was having a philosophical moment Hi Tara :-) I was pondering your philosophical moment and had some thoughts thatI wanted to share. I have a lot of other medical issues, two of which (hypertension and cervical scarring) would make me high risk on their own. So in learning about what to expect w/pregnancy I've spoken to alot of women with a bajillion dignoses (all of the above plus kidney disease, diabetes, obesity etc). And the common thread was that they all feel that they 'worry more' than the average pregnant woman. Maybe its because they legitimately SHOULD be worrying, maybe its because their hope has been challenged, and maybe they're overstressing ... but I'm inclined to think its a mix of those three. Having a baby is scary ... it can cause us emotional and physical pain and our husbands emotional pain. I know I'm afraid of my body letting me down and the pain that could cause me and my DH. I'm also afraid of my body harming me in the course of my pg (hypertension and pg are a BAAAAD mix) ... it would destroy my dh if pg harmed me. I guess my point is, you're normal ... not just for a woman with an MA, but for a woman with any known health problem :-) Please continue to use us as a sounding board ...for those of us trying to get pg, you're helping us understand some of the feelings we may have and how to cope with them :-) Take care! 27, UD
