Guest guest
Ok, y'all are boring me to tears!!! I hope everyone is out enjoying their weekend. It finally cooled down here on the Colorado Western Slope. We have been running between 106 and 110 degrees the past couple of weeks and now we are only in the 98-100 degree range. We finally got some good downpours to cool down the poor, hot earth in this area. I FINALLY have a whole weekend where nothing is going on. Its been weeks, bordering on months, since I've had a completely free weekend and it feels pretty good. I even got up and cooked breakfast for the family and even that feels good. Next weekend starts a whole new round of activity. My hubby's cousin is coming from Denver with her family, and we haven't seen them for about 5 years so that will be nice. Its also county fair time and since I grew up around raising lambs for county and state fair shows, I just gotta hang out around the smells, and general funk that goes along with fairs. The following weekend, even though their 1st birthday is on Tuesday, we will be having the twins birthday party (its the only time all the family will be able to join in). We are having a luau with everyone dressing up and luau foods and all the fun that goes with that. I'm excited and anxious to celebrate the babies wonderful first year. After that, I have another weekend of visitors, then another with a baby shower, then school starts and sports begin for our oldest son (starting high school this year), and then fall festivals start in the area and Heaven forbid I miss any of those. The blessing in all of these activities is that, as exhausted as I get between taking care of my dh needs, kiddos needs, full time work, household needs, and extra curriculars, is that I CAN!!! 3 years ago, I could hardly move to meet my own needs, but now I feel like I can (and do) take it all on... a little more sleep would be nice, but other than that, physically I'm ready to take on the world. Blessings to all of you, my dear LOSER friends and I hope you have a good week in front of you. Huggz, Toi
