You are not going to find it, you would have to make it. As soon as tomatoes are

added the sodium level goes up. Some of the more tradtional chilies might be

lower in sodium but it will not be what people think of as chile. They would be

basicly meat, green or red chili peppers and spices. Good luck.

1 can no-added salt beans

1 can no added salt diced tomatoes with chilis

Add together with seasonings: chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder,

fresh or dried cilantro. Squeeze of lime. Voila! AND if you want it really

great add a cup of cubed winter squash - you can buy that frozen!

That sounds fantastic! I want to up the protein on it though - this seems

more like a cold bean salad than chili. Suggestions are welcome :)

Shelby - it is HOT - I guess I assumed that everyone would know to bring it

to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes first. I serve over rice and you can

always add some ground turkey, too. Or serve with whatever protein you like.

ENJOY!

But you know what? I wouldn't mind it like a cold bean & tomato salad bc I

eat a lot of my foods cold anyway, and beans and tomatoes are my favorites.

I eat garbanzo beans just drained and rinsed out of the can. Makes a

wonderful finger food for while driving if I skip breakfast, or just at my

desk munchies during the day. Nothing else needed with it either. Yummm.

I just assumed you heat it first. You can add any kind of cooked or raw

meats (then simmer until done) or tofu. I like mine much hotter so I go over

on the fresh cubed seeded chiles.

I just assumed you heat it first. You can add any kind of cooked or raw

meats (then simmer until done) or tofu. I like mine much hotter so I go over

on the fresh cubed seeded chiles.

That sounds fantastic! I want to up the protein on it though - this seems

more like a cold bean salad than chili. Suggestions are welcome :)

Hi All,

Health Valley Foods used to have a low sodium chili. I wonder if this is still

available. As I remember, it did not have meat in it, though, of course could

be added to it.
