Sorry to use the list to send this message out, but it's the easiest way to talk

to all the families who might be interested in getting together in the great

state of Texas!

Ok....now I've got the bug to get together with families in this off conference

year. The Mid-Atlantic conference will be fabulous for those of you close enough

to get to it, but it's a stretch for most of us in Texas, etc. So....who out

there in my part of the country (Houston, Texas) is interested in a family

weekend. I'm thinking probably May since it gets hot so early here and to avoid

vacation conflicts. Who is interested??? Anyone is welcome of course, but I

thought families from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, etc. might be the most

interested.

I'm also thinking of more of a social weekend just visiting together without any

kind of formal speaker format....although getting any professionals there to

" visit " with us would be great, too. There's a nice family type resort in Canyon

Lake that has cabins, hotel type rooms and camping facilities along with an

indoor pool. It has tubing/rafting on the Guadalupe River nearby for those who

might want to be more adventurous. Or....we could do a weekend built around San

(Sea World, riverwalk, etc.) or something like this, but I was thinking

of more relaxing and less active along with less costly. How about email me

privately if you're interested and/or have suggestions or questions. There are

lots of us in Texas and surround states now so it would be nice to get together.

Another option would be to just get together on a Saturday for a picnic type

event as opposed to a full weekend. Just give me your ideas and we'll start

planning (really quick!!)
