Guest guest
Okay girls - Got yesterday's round of test results back... the guys can swim and I don't have a thyroid problem. (I guess that means that means chocolate is to blame for my weight gain) We already established that I am ovulating. Is there anything else I need to have tested between now and the time they find my OB's dictation, or hell freezes over? I just hate to waste another 6 weeks til she gets back; if I can get the easy stuff out of the way while she's gone, maybe we can go for the big guns when she gets back. Tubes were fine on my HSG years ago - but I don't think I can get my buddy the nurse to order another HSG, I guess I could tell her that I'm a dye junkie or that I am going for the title (LOL). I'm still going with the lack of good CM....Think she'll write me a script for Guaifenesin and Estrogen? Why can't anything be easy!?! Oinking my way to Mexican takeout! Guest guest
Hi . Glad all is ok so far. Have you had an IVP to check your kidneys? Often women with uterine anomalies have anomalies of the kidney - nothing to worry about, but you should be aware. Other than that, I can't think of any normal IF testing that you are missing....hmm....... Best of luck ttc! Tara BU

Glad that your thyroid and DH's SA are good. I would guess that your tubes are probably OK, although it is never safe to assume that your fertility is the same from one year to the next. Another HSG or SHG wouldn't hurt. OTher random thoughts: is your luteal phase longer than 10 days? Is your uterine lining thick enough to support a pregnancy? Are you harboring any silent infections? (Mycoplasma in the cervix can actually hinder conception; Zithromax knocks it out), do you have cervical factor/have you considered a postcoital test? Then there are other factors that can be determined only by IVF, seeing if the eggs and sperm play nice together and the embryos are of good quality. Also, ovarian reserve can be tested by CD 3 FSH and estradiol levels. I'm sorry I can't remember, . . . how long have you been trying? Didn't you just go off the pill? Or have you been trying with no success for over a year. Might not be the time to panic, yet. Hope not. But not knowing is no fun . . . Guest guest
--- In MullerianAnomalies@y..., Hi! Glad those tests came back okay!! It is good news!! and believe me -take every bit you can!! As for other tests(forgive me if I am repeating advice or something you have already had done) you should have tests(blood) done at certain points in your cycle-for estrogen , progesterone etc.. They usually do estrogen within the 1st 5 -7 days of your cycle, Progesterone at day 21(approx.) If you are not already doing daily temperature charts-with the basic thermometer when you wake up-I have found this is really good data to gather to " assess " your cycle ..There are also other tests-for antibodies etc.. Sorry-I can't recall all the " right " names-Toni Weschler's book-Taking Charge of Your Fertility is an excellent resource for all the tests , basic steps through the IF " process " -Hope this helps! I'm not panicked yet, just trying to stay ahead of the game. Thanks to all of the you who have given me ideas. I thought I was okay with waiting, then I woke up one day in January and realized that after 8 months of BDing at the right times (bbt charting religiously for 4 of the 8 months) nothing was happening! This would have been much more convenient if I had decided that we needed to start IF testing while my OB was actually in the country! :-) UD

Guest guest
, Guaifenesin can be purchased over the counter. It is plain Robitussin. I just thought I would let you know that. I took it to to assist my CM also. , UU IF test results > Okay girls - Got yesterday's round of test results back... the guys > can swim and I don't have a thyroid problem. Guest guest
<<<Guaifenesin can be purchased over the counter. It is plain Robitussin. >>> Make sure that it is Robitussin with NO letters behind it (do not get Robitussin DM, etc.) Glad that all of your testing is showing good results. Sounds like you are on the right track although I have never had an IF work-up. Good luck with all of your tests. I hope you are able to get a lot done before your OB comes back.
