Guest guest
I really DON'T think it's legal. Perhaps the AMA would know?? I would cancel your card maybe, until you can get this straightened out! Or dispute the charge with your credit card company. Do you have a contract signed with him that allows him to do this?? --- Jaana Mäkipää wrote: > Messagehow do i find out if this is legal... Guest guest
Hi Jaana, I've never heard of a doctor's office charging for refilling a perscription. That's ridiculous! My doctor has a refill line and I just call that and they fax the pharmacy. This really boggels the mind. I know your stuck with it because that's where you get your meds. Can't you send the email from the doctor to the woman who's giving you so much grief? Do you have an appoitment any time soon that you could take the email into her? I hope this can be remedied soon. I know what it's like to have something like this hanging over you. And I bet they won't do another refill until you pay, right? Guest guest
Hi Jaana, again, Do you qualify for any assistance? What about the free medication that the drug companies have? I would check into it. Kathleen

Guest guest
I wouldn't think so. Although, when my father was still alive, he had heart attacks all the time (he had 10 arteriograms -- the little balloons they use to re-inflate an artery -- in a 3 year period). He had a cardiologist, and one time he was hospitalized with a heart attack and received an $80 bill from his cardiologist, who was clear across the country and not available the entire time Dad was in the hospital. cyn At 03:45 PM 3/4/2005 -0500, wrote: Um...I have NEVER had a doctors office charge me for calling in a refill request.
