It took me 12 weeks to lose 11.4 pounds, but there were weeks where I gained and then it came off again. I gained 3 pounds last week, but I know that it was mostly PMS related. That 3 pounds is probably gone now - I weigh in tomorrow. If you don't have a lot to lose, the weight will come off slower. When I joined, I had a total of 28 pounds to lose. It's coming off VERY slowly...but I'm trying not to be discouraged. Have you tried increasing the amount of exercise you do? Donna G
Guest guest
Diane, I am a very slow loser too. Since you gained twice in a row did you go back and look over your journals? Did you eat anything differently? Are you still measuring your portions? Are you exercising more? Less? It took me 19 weeks to lose 14 pounds! Hey, at least we are losing though. Maybe for a week you should eat at differnt point ranges on different days? Don't worry - we know this program works if we just stick with it! > I'm beginning to get a tad bit worried. Guest guest
You're not the only one worried. This is my second week on the Wendie Plan and I've gained .4 and now 2 pounds. One thing I did do was go back and look at my week one book and I did notice that I'm not eating enough fruits and vegetables or protein. Also, I took the test, and decided I wanted the high carb WW diet. Now, I list the types of food and the amt. of points I need and check them off as I eat them. From Week 6 book, The right mix: high carbohydrate diet: fruits and vegetables 0-3 points milk and milk products 4-6 points protein-rich foods 4-6 points grain based foods 9-12 points added sugars, fats 1-2 points Amt. are for 22-27 point range. So, for the next few days, I'm going to follow this and see happens, I was spending my spare points on pudding, granola bars, and 2 point bars---all within range, but not the best choices. Guest guest
Are you right near a lower points range? It might be time for you to go to a lower point range - or maybe you need to eat a few more points during the week. Shake your points up a bit during the week. Sounds like you're in a little plateau. You're doing great though - keep up the good work!! ~~ I'm beginning to get a tad bit worried. I'm a very slow loser. I've been OP for 12 weeks and have only lost 9 lbs. However, the last 2 weeks I've gained a lb. each. Should I start eating at the low end of my points to get things going again? Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? Thanks for your insight!Diane
Guest guest
I'm interested in what you're results will be Dot!! I think carb's are my downfall - I would need to make them my lowest point intake and make protein my high. When I'm craving something for comfort - it's a carb. Bread, pasta. I can pass up a fresh out of the oven cookie but not a roll or a loaf of bread!! ~~ You're not the only one worried. This is my second week on the Wendie Plan and I've gained .4 and now 2 pounds. Guest guest
Everything I hear says to stay mid to high end of points. You might even want to try mixing it up from low to high. Hope this helps, Maureen > I'm beginning to get a tad bit worried. I'm a very slow loser. I've > been OP for 12 weeks and have only lost 9 lbs. However, the last 2 > weeks I've gained a lb. each. Guest guest
, I didn't even think of this angle! I bet you're on to something. I tend to weigh quite a bit more than I look. I've always been active, gymnastics, dance, etc., and I must have muscle mass somewhere beneath the flab. Anyway, I'm within 10 lbs. of the next range, but given the fact that I weigh more than others with my frame/build, I bet that's something to consider. This group is so very supportive. I appreciate all of the responses I got. Diane P.S. I've been reading the responses on the webpage. Is there a better way to get/receive the posts? Thanks for all the tips!
