Guest guest
Wow Fayray! Nine hours! Why did it take so long? My surgeon thought five hours was a long time, and that was due to all the scar tissue he had to get through from my previous laminectomy. Carol In a message dated 5/21/2007 4:45:51 P.M. It was midnight when I returned 2 my room. I kept telling my husband & the nurses I was burning. They thought I was still out of it. Well, the next morning I raised my gown & 2 everyone's surprise I had second degree burns on both pelvic bone areas. That hurt worse than my fusion at the time. They said it was from being on my stomach so long that the special bed for fusions had burned me. My neurosurgeon had the maker of the bed come & make sure nothing was wrong w/the bed. Well, that's water under the bridge. But things can & do happen @ the hospital. I'm sorry it happened 2 u so I wish u an extra speedy recovery. Wish I was closer so I could really help u but since I'm not, Soft hugs & Prayers. Fayray ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
As far as I know, nothing. They expect it. In fact, I think it helps to stabilize the back? The decompression and removal of tissue is replaced by more tissue amd more pressure.... ? Any articles? Pris ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
I had scar tissue from my previous back surgery also. My fusion was on L-3,L-4,L-5,S-1. He used a donor bone (luckily) to hold my titanium plate & purple nus & bolts to my spine. they had told my family 6 to 7 hours so they were pacing by midnight. Well again, take care & do as your told. Fayray >From: boomer6454@... >Reply- > >Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown) Fayray >Date: Mon, 21 May 2007 20:26:06 EDT > > >Wow Fayray! Nine hours!
