Guest guest
36 pounds !!!! I can hardly wait for the time that I lose 36 pounds! Congrats!!!Dot RE: (no subject) Hi LeAnn,Welcome to the group!!How awesome to be adopting these little girls. That is so neat. You and yourhusband must be real special people. I am married and have two kids. is 19 and is almost 15 (July 21st). My advice to you is to enjoy everyminute with your girls. Time really does goes by quickly. I can't believe is 19 and on her own in college. I know when you are going through theday to day stuff it is overwhelming at times, but hang in there. My otheradvice is to ask your husband to help you schedule some "You" time. As Momsthat is hard for us to do, but you have to. You know the saying, "If Mommaisn't Happy, then nobody is Happy!". I finally decided too when I started Weight Watchers in March that I wasgoing to buy differently (no more high-fat junk food)for the whole family. They have actually adjusted pretty well. They are all real supportive of metoo. So far I have lost 36 pounds, I go tomorrow to weigh in for the week. Iam walking 4 miles every morning and I know that is making a big difference.Remember to take care of yourself. Have a great day! in Colorado-----Original Message-----From: lannnlsn@... Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2001 10:21 PMTo: wwliterside Subject: (no subject)Hello everyone - My name is LeAnn and I live in Idaho. Just to give you a little background,I had been attending WW until last August and had just received my 25 pds loss. I loved it and everything seemed to be going very well. Then, we hada major life change. We became foster parents to two girls. One 12 and one 9. These were our first children and it took some adjusting. Although things have gone very well, part of the state requirements have been that they couldn't be left alone, so there went all of my free time. Exercise became very difficult toget in and they didn't seem to like any of the food that my husband and Ihad become acustomed too on program. Slowly I let the exercise slide (therewere always 10 hours of things to accomplish and only 1 hour to accomplish itin), has anyone else ever felt that way? Dumb question, huh? How do moms do it when not only you have to keep track of yourself, but everyone else in the family and their activities as well?Needless to say, I now have gained back almost all of the weight I had lost and am a little (alot) angry with myself. I feel like all the other moms inthe world look great, why can't I.I'm not quite ready to start with meetings again, although I'm not quitesure why. I enjoyed them so much. I guess I'm just afraid. As a side note, on Monday we will adopt the two girls and become an officialfamily which will be nice. I appreciate reading all of your comments and welcome any advice for extra time (without cutting into my sleep). I work full time and need that asmuch as anything it seems. You all keep me going and motivate every time I read.Thank you all.
