Guest guest
They usually tell you to rest and elevate the leg. Some people go in for cortisone to help with the inflammation. It hurts until the inflammation diminishes. That could be hours, could be days depending on the cyst. Keep off of it and keep it elevated! That's about the best you can do without cortisone. Not a doctor though...but if it were me I would be at the ER if your regular doc is not available. Shandi NELLIESTAR@... wrote: It hurts! What shoulkd I do? When will it feel better? Guest guest
On April 20, 2007 I was having severe pain behind my knee so I went to see my rheumy thinking that it was my ra, he initially diagnosed a ruptured bakers cyst but to be on the safe side he sent me to get an ultarsound or a DVT scan to rule out the possibilty of a blood clot, unfortunately it turned out to be a blood clot so now i'm on blood thinners along with all my other ra meds. I don't mean to scare you but please go see your doctor about a DVT scan, a blood clot can be a very dangerous thing. I wish you the best........... NELLIESTAR@... wrote: It hurts! What shoulkd I do? Again, the back of my LEG hurts, there is nothing I can find where the cyst is supposed to be. It only hurts when I walk on it. It gets a teeny bit better every day but I do not have time for this we are booked until Sept. Today we do a show and I pray I can get through it. Darn RA, it sure can steal a person's life. Thanks, Pris ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Guest guest
This reply may be too late to be of any help but I'm very slow. lol I had a very large Baker's cyst in my left knee joint. I had never even heard of a Baker's cyst until then. I ended up having knee replacement surgery so didn't have to deal with any other kind of treatment. But I know it's very painful! My point is that I didn't have the swelling in back of my knee either. Doesn't mean the cyst isn't there. Rest your leg when you can. Squatting is something I couldn't do at all. Guest guest
Pris,...... is a lifesaver, were so lucky to have her. I do have problems squatting too, along with everything else. I have bursitis, and it seems to go right around my knee. It's very painful too. Is your doc returning soon? I hope the piglets don't come till later. My daughter's cat had kittens a couple of weeks ago, and I sit on a stool, and I still hurt from sitting in the same position too long. You take care, and let us know, Tawny

Knee (front of) is still swollen, but I swear it is getting less painful. Hoping it is a Baker's cyst, no torn ligaments or cartilage, please! We earn 90 percent of our money during the next 3 months (work every day or travel). I guess it's my fault for being a clean freak (doing floors while squatting). I am going to invest in my first mop! Thanks for caring! Pris ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Pris, Get yourself a Wonder mop. You don't have to sqeeze it out with your hands; it has a thingie that you push down over the mop and turn. It really is a wonder, as mops go, LOL.
