Guest guest
Val, when do I know when my adrenals are doing well enough to up my Armour? My standing BP has been staying up pretty good the past month. The only time it doesn't when I had a bad stress taking care of my litle grandaughter and then not sleeping hardly at all. But I came right out of both of them. My biggest problem is not sleeping good. I can tell the difference also of when the standing BP is going down instead of up. I have been on 25mg HC for a couple weeks (was on 40mg in Jan), just went on down today to 22.5 mg HC like doc said; hope it doesn't cause problems with the standing BP. I am done taking HC by noon. And I have noticed I do not have any problems the rest of the day up until bedtime even tho I take no HC after noontime. That really surprised me too. But that is how the doc wanted me to take it so I tried it; it works, so far anyway. What do I look for if I should not go down with HC anymore??? I come down if you remember because of adrenaline and my BLP was sky high. We figured it was because my adrenals were getting better and I did not need that much HC anymore. I had a blood test this morning for FT3, FT4, TSH & Vit D. I see the doc on the 18th. Last month when she only did Total T3 instead of free my number was 116 with a ref. range of 80-190. I would say I was down at the bottom don't you?? I was on 90mg Armour with 25mcg T3. You had me do this to help give my adrenals a rest along with the supplements that have really helped them, the sea salt, B12, Vit D. My hypo symptoms are really bad now; arthritis really bad, body aches & pains especially hands, legs, feet, back; am fatigued constantly now, a little better in later afternoon but still not good. My hands are so sore now and my legs and back are so bad I can hardly get up from my knees when I pray. Sure hope this will change soon. I should not have a problem with RT3 with the T3 I am still taking will I???
Guest guest
T3 is not what causes RT3 it is Armour because of the T4 in it. I would be careful lowering the HC this quickly. Just lowering too fast can cause issues even if you do not need it. You need ot hold this HC dose at least a week before raising thyroid any longer. Graph your temps! That is how we know if adrneals can tolerate more thyroid. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hi Val, got results of the blood tests today at the docs office. The lab had not sent her all the results so she had to call to get the rest that is why I did not get to give them to you before seeing doc. The resuls are which were taken 3/11/09: FT3....3.6.....2.4-3.9 FT4....0.6.....0.6-1.2 TSH.....02.....0.40-5.80 Vit D...34.....25-80 At the time of the bloodl draw I was on 25mg HC and 90 mg Armour with 25mcg of T3. Went on 90 mg Armour on Jan. 27 and 25mcg T3 on Feb 3. On 2/6/09 I had blood drawn but the new Doc only did the totals T3 & 4. I will give you those in case you may understand them. I had been on Armour 60mg for 13 days prior to test with 50mcg T3; Total T3.......116.....80-190 T4.........4.6......5.0-12.5 On 12/15/08 I had bloodl draw, was taking 40mg HC and 75mcg T3. FT3....5.19....2.5-3.9 (you said low cortisol which it was) FT4...... 0.3... 0.6-1.7 TSH..... .01.......4-3.0 Cortisal AM.... 1.8...6.7-22.l6 (no meds before test) Well what do you think? I am still working with temps to get a few days together for you. Today I averaged 98.8 but was on the go some today, to the doc and then visiting. It always seems to be higher if I am out and about. Yesterday I avaraged 98.7. The day before I only got 2 temps done and it averaged 98.8. The two days before that I only did 2 a day and averaqed 98.5 both times. So I need to keep doing the three times a day. I have been taking a nap sometimes, what do I do then? I am still having hypo symptoms but my doc says my FT3 are good and that I should not need to change my thyroid dosage....the last few days because of stress my standing BP goes down in the mornings. If I don't sleep good which is most of it, should I stress dose that day and if so how much???? > I had a blood test this morning for FT3, FT4, TSH & Vit D. I see the doc on the 18th. Guest guest
n something is wrong here. I feel we are missing something. Your thyroid labs in their ranges look fairly good maybe could be a tad higher, bu wiht your temps that high, I ma leaning towards aldosterone issues. Also have yo had sex hormones tested recently? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
I had aldosterone tested recently and you said it was okay. No I have not had any sex hormones tested recently. However this morning I did a urine and saliva test to check for why I don't sleep good and she said for mood. They are checking the following at NeuroScience: cortisol, epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, glcine, GABA, Glutamate, PEA, histamine, creatinine. Has anyone ever had this done? Could my coming down off of so much HC be the cdause of high temps and joint & muscle pain? I was on 40mg, and now down to 25mg in a months time. Of course I had terribly high BP, that is why she dropped me from 35mg to 30mg so quickly, then 2.5mg a week after that. But I stopped at 25mg cause BP was much better and then I noticed that my standing BP was going down in the mornings quite often, but back up in the afternoon. > n something is wrong here. Guest guest
Well I will try again, I wrote answer to this but it did not get posted to the forum. I had aldosterone done in Decembaer, you said it was fine. I have not had sex hormones checked for quite some time. Could the high temps & joint & muscle aches come from stress and not resting good?? Could it also be the result of coming down from 40mg HC to 25mg in a months time. I had dropped to 35mg myself before saw new doc and she immediately told me to stay at 30mg because of high BP and drop 2.5mg a week till BP was better. I stopped at 25mg; when tried 22.5mg I did not feel good so stayed at 25mg. I told her I do not rest good at night, have trouble sleeping. She gave me a urine & saliva test from NeuroScience to take this morning. It says it is testing cortisol, epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, glycine, GABA, glutamate, PEA,histamine, creatinine. Has anyone ever had this test before?? Has anyone used this company?? > n something is wrong here. I feel we are missing something. Guest guest
I got the results back on my sleep difficulty check. I was low in the following: epinephrine...5.6...8-11 norepinephrine...16.9...35-45 serotonin...62.4....125-175. She gave me TravaCor for neurotransmitter support. I take it one hour before bed. She also gave me AdreCor for adrenal and neurotransmitter support. Sure hope it helps. Do you have any idea why I am so low on these? I am now down to 22.5 HC since the 10th. Have a little headache, more than before. I am still on 90mg Armour and 25mcg of T3. I ask doc if I could go up on my Armour and she said only if I went down on the T3. What do you think? However the sweats that I had so much when I bowled, I noticed last week hardly sweat at all so that is a plus. Do you think it was the HC, or thyroid? My aldosterone was fine and I am still on sea salt. I sweat like that for a year or more. > I had aldosterone tested recently and you said it was okay.
