Guest guest
I am normally am not hypoglycemic but I had not eat much today as I was on the run helping my son. So it is possible when I felt the shakiness start it could have been that. However, I eat some pasta just before going to bible study after I left my message on the forum and as I was leaving an irregular heartbeat hit me. I happen to carry a wrist BP machine with me cause my husband sometimes has low blood pressure so I took it in the car. It was high with an irregular heartbeat. I checked again at church where I could also do the standing. BP went down but the standing BP dropped 20 points, I was sweating a little. My standing BP when I got home only dropped 6 points. I did take a 10mg HC on waY to church and then another 10 about 45 minutes later at church. I am going to double my bedtime HC dose before bed. Do you think hypoglycemia could have caused all of this even the irregular heartbeat again??? Will check for your answer in the morning so I can explain all this to new doc tomorrow afternoon. > >>when I got home from my son's I felt shaky inside, especially > my hands and arms and feel quite nervous. I took my BP as soon as I > got home, without waiting for 5 minutes, it was 193/84 p. 94<< > > Any possibility you wer hypoglycemic? Low glucose feels liek the same thing as low cortisol because they both cause adnrealine to surge. Adrneline can raise BP and PULSE very high veyr quickly. if you wer not hyoglycemic thne I would hold th HC dose for a while to make certain this dose is nto too low before lowering further. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
With your BP dropping on standing like that I suspect you need aldosterone tested. But yes high adrenaline can cause very irregualr heartbeat and very fast pulse. It also can cause high BP. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I had aldosterone tested in Dec and it was good but sodium and potassium were low. I am on sea salt 1/2 tsp twice day. Was on potassium suppllement until a week ago and went off of it cause did not want to overdo that. This morning at 2:15am my BP was as follows: laying--118/72 p.87 & irregular sitting--120/72 p.80 & irregular standing--150/72 p.95 & irregular I did not sleep good at all last nite, thought might have been cause doubled nitetime HC. At 6am this morning my BP was: sitting--118/74 P.104 & irregular standing--132/74 p.59 & irregular I took my blood sugar this morning @ 6am also with my husbands kit. It was 132, that is high. It has always been around 80-90 before. What is going on. I will check it again in two hours cause I took my BP med with milk. Will let you know what it is then. If I went hypoglycemic yesterday, could that have fouled me up when I only had pasta for dinner and caused sugar to go high??? > With your BP dropping on standing like that I suspect you need > aldosterone tested. Guest guest
Had you eaten or drank ANYTHING before that fastign reading? If not then oyu probabyl need to lower your HC dose as this sia definite sign something is veyr wrong though adrenaline can raise glucose too, I would dsuggest getting an A1c done ASAP to see if this is a fluke or a real problem. Guest guest
I had a little milk after the 6am glucose reading when I took my BP med 50/25. At 8am it was 135. I see the new doc this afternoon I will ask her to take an A1c test, my hubby has those frequently. Shouldn't I hold off on lowering HC at least till tomorrow and see what glucose is then. I just took my BP resting 6 minutes and it was sitting 114/74 p.70, no irregular heartbeat; standing 124/73 p.78, no irregular heartbeat. I double dosed my 6am & 8am HC, I won't add anymore now that heartbeat is back to normal. > Had you eaten or drank ANYTHING before that fastign reading? Guest guest
Well at noon I sstarted feeling shaky again and had eat breakfast. I took my glucose and it was 144. I had taken the HC as: 6am l0mg and 10mg stress dose 8am 2.5mg and 2.5 stress dose 10am 7.5mg no stress dose no irregular heartbeat. Noon---suppose to be 2.5 and beings I'm shaky again I am cutting back on the HC as you suggested as I had a glucose of 144 after 2 hours eating I did not think that would cause the problem, I definitely was not hypoglycemic this morning at 6am, 8am, or noon. Will let you know what happens with doc later today. > I would wait to see what your A1c says. > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >

Guest guest
Well we tested for Hypoglycemia and I don't have that. Plus I eat high protien and a lot of raw foods, so I know I am not spiking it. I have a funny feeling adrenaline might be my issue. Please Lord! Is there a specific test for adrenaline? I am wondering if once I bring up my HC (which is what you mean by raising cortisol) if this will solve the high pulse? (My aldestorone was normal on the hormone test and salt water does not bring my pulse down either.) Guest guest
I did not take it last nite. But I noticed by bedtime my back was bothering me again and it was bad this morning. So was that just a once in awhile thing with thyroid getting to cells? My BP was good this morning but the standing BP dropped quite a bit. My glucose was 111 which was better than yesterday. My eyes hurt a little more this morning also, but of course thata could be the new BP med cause it says it can cause headaches. I know when standing BP is going up I feel better. I sure hope I haven't dropped the HC too fast, what do you think? > If it were me, I would insist on the free levels as well, but yes this > idea sound good, but I am not sur how you will fare wiht the no bedtime > dos, you wil just have to try it and see. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
It may just be your body trying to adjust. You really need to hold new dosing for at least a week to let eveyrthing level out to the new rythms. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
OK I will hang in there with the 30mg HC. How long would it take to straighten out the HC problem if that is what caused high BP and high glucose as my glucose was 129 yet this morning upon rising. I do have a headache but it is the same as when I first started new BP med, she doubled the dose yesterday. But I do not feel as strong as I did yesterday, legs especially. If it is the high cortisol when should the glucose start coming down? > It may just be your body trying to adjust. Guest guest
Well its been a week tomorrow, blood sugar levels are still the same. But at the beginning of being on 30mg HC my standing blood pressure was going up and I marveled at that and said YEAH, but starting yesterday it has been going down. What do you think Val is causing this? Did my adrenals crash again because of all of this? I don't see Doc till the 18th. I will talk to her about the Free T3 and T4 then, cause she only ordered total. I'm going to study up on them so I will have a good argument. I do know that one is the RT3 issue as I'm on Armour 90 mg and T3 25mcg so I have a chance of getting it again. OH, one more question, now that my standing BP is going down again, does that mean no thyroid hormones to cells again??? > OK I will hang in there with the 30mg HC. Guest guest
n it could be a stresor, exposure ot a flu or cold virus, or evn weather related stress. Guest guest
I missed alot of sleep tuesday nite as I babysat greatgrandbaby as her mama worked; could that be the stressor you are talking about? If so, what could I do about it other than get rest? I still do not sleep as good as I should. I laid back down this morning and rested also. So far today standing BP has baeen going down. It was doing so good staying up, even with the decrease in HC and BP so high. > n it could be a stresor, exposure ot a flu or cold virus, or evn > weather related stress.
