Guest guest
Zip lock bags are a life saver!! I've learned to divide a bag of 97% f f. popcorn into thirds---1/3 goes into a quart bag, anther 1/3 goes into another bag and then I eat the other 1/3. I take the 2 bags to work, or eat one on the way. The whole bag is 4 points. I really can't afford to eat 4 points all at one time for a snack, so this way I spread it out. I also like the sweetened puff cereal, one cup is 2 points--I put it in a sandwich bag or eat it out of a one cup measuring cup. The unsweetened puff cereal is only one point, but its not as good, and requires 1/2 cup of ff. milk (one point) --so there you are back up to 2 points again. -----thanks for the tip about the pop corn---it came 2 days too late!! I've been enjoying pop corn over the past 2 days, and I weighed in today---only a .2 # loss. Not exactly what I was expecting, but I think it does have something to do with the salt. Thursday will make one full week on the Wendie plan, then I'll know if this is working for me. My home scales show I'm losing. Dot RE: PMS and how to handle it Lynne,I keep the Weight Watcher 2-point bars on hand for when I have a craving forchocolate. I have also started putting my snacks in little bags alreadymeasured out like M & M's so I don't just open a big bag and start eatingaway. Everyone has to find what works for them. Good luck to you. in CO-----Original Message-----From: qoe@... It's made for very slow weight loss, but I've learned that adownward trend is way better than where I was at 6 months ago. When I'm PMSing I crave chocolate and salt like most gals. Just can't getenough it seems. I've found that though I'm emotionally satisfied with thatway of eating I'm never physically satisfied and therefore keeping eatingmore of the chocolate and salty foods trying to get to that physicalsatisfaction point. I've been battling with myself to find an alternativeplan for the PMS weeks, but it's almost like I loose my mind and can't thinkof any other plans of attack during that time. So, when I was more sane I started planning my new plan of attack and wroteit down. Now I lost my mind as usual and ate a bunch of peanut M & M's, andsome chips. A few days went by before I remembered that I wanted toexperiment with eating something else. Something not in the chocolatefamily and not particularly salty. One evening I was cruising about the thekitchen like a shark in a Jaws movie ( could even hear the music ) when Ithought think real food! I got some pot stickers out of the freezer. Theyare very good in points. I microwaved up 7. Ate them wasn't satisfied. Inuked up 7 more at them and suddenly felt overly full. I had no desire toeat another thing. I was almost on the miserable side. whoops! I feltsatisfied physically, but emotionally I felt like the job wasn't done. Butthe good thing is I didn't feel like I wanted to keep eating, because I wasso full. So, next month I'm going to try and remember the plan sooner in the week!Maybe make up a PMS list of acceptable foods and put it on the fridge tohelp job my memory when I'm foraging for chocolate!Regards,Lynne
Guest guest
Dot, I agree with you. I use ziplock baggies to divide everything. My cereal, chips, or whatever else I have is divided into single serving sizes as soon as I open the bag. Let us know how your week ends up. Hopefully, you lost!!
