Guest guest
It's about time I come out of the shadows and say I am Ann and joined WW May 31, 2001. So far I have 20 pounds are gone forever and that includes a hospital stay to remove a neck tumor. I still haven't hit my first 10% so you know I have a long way to go. Somehow my brain got aligned right for a lifestyle change so the points program is working very well for me. I find I eat more than I did before but am eating the right stuff. I am using the 28-33 point range and average 30 points per week. haven't had any cravings that I couldn't deal with by using the other tools. I am enjoying trying a variety of recipes so I don't feel deprived. I don't have kids to worry about feeding so in some ways I may have it easier than many. My husband is diabetic and he eats what I do now and had lost weight also. For the Forman user, I find that spraying the surfaces with non-stick spray before heating it up works very well. I got a Forman cookbook that has great recipes with the nutritional information. I have tried the salmon, shrimp, chicken recipes with great success. I also discovered grilled eggplant which I never ate before. I just brushed it with a little olive oil. My big change has been to eat more vegetables besides V8 juice. I'm getting there. Regarding the person who doesn't wear shorts. I live in Florida and I would die without wearing shorts. I wear shorts or capri's and don't care what the rest of the world thinks or says behind my back. I have some workout bike shorts and tees I got at Junonia.com (sport clothes for the plus size woman) which work well at the gym. Good luck with your exercise efforts. Now that my incision is healed and I am off limited activity, I can get back to bike riding and water aerobics which I can do where I live. I enjoy reading other people's note and up and downs of living a realistic food plan. Thanks for reading this long missive. Ann

I started mid-May and have lost 22 pounds so far, just made 10% last week. Isn't it fantastic that we can lose and not feel deprived?! Guest guest
Hi Ann,Welcome to the group. Congratulations on your loss so far!!! Twenty pounds is great! I started mid-May and have lost 22 pounds so far, just made 10% last week. Isn't it fantastic that we can lose and not feel deprived?! I am really worried about my weigh in tonight. For one reason, it's only been 5 days instead of 7 since my last one and another is because I lost 7 lbs. last time and know i haven't lost near that. But, the main reason I'm worried is because I haven't been the least deprived! Don't you have to be starving to lose weight?
