I plan to see my gyn in the spring and find out from her what size they are at that point, so right now, I don't know if anything is growing bigger again. As to side-effects, my periods stopped during the year I took the drug. I think that was a good thing, since I was on my way to anemia before that. Since then, I've had one period, in December, and my January period is late, so it seems my system isn't totally back on track. The only other thing I experienced was weight gain, but I was gaining weight right before I got the fibroid diagnosis 2 1/2 years ago. I found out at almost the same time that I'm hypothryroid, too, and though I'm on medication for that, my weight has been climbing. (Could have something to do with being a stress eater? Nah! <g>)

Guest guest
Hi , I mentioned in a previous post that I've seen several doctors so far who have all recommended hysterectomy as a solution to my large fibroids. Did you have the good luck to find Dr. Broder right off the top, or did you also see other doctors who thought your fibroids were too big to remove via myomectomy? Also, where were your fibroids situated? (I have a large one near my cervix which two gyns have said will be " extremely difficult, if not impossible " to remove.) Sorry for so many questions.I guess I just need a reality check. thanks, Robyn

Guest guest
Dearest ; I received your donation today toward the newsletter, and I cannot thank you enough. I think I am going to take it and apply it toward the purchase of a binding machine though and begin the RSD magazine that has all the RSD material that we need so very much. During the printing of this one, I saw that so much of our much beloved local things took up so much room that it left so little for actual reports, that is if I wasn't going to be mailing books which I almost was. My husband said one more month and mailing like that and I was in the next envelope going out. Can't blame him though. lol He makes it I spend it.. lol I am just not going to tell him I am going to continue the newsletter until the magazine is ready. For that we will have major sponsors. I am just going to get me a different mailman for now, lol. Anyway thank you ever so much for your thoughtfulness. That was very kind, and it truly helped. Thank you. Love & Hugggs MariBeth
Guest guest
Gwynne, I've been reading your posts with interest..You had given me the info about the Oxy-View frames and I love mine. With the increase in lpm...can you still use your frames? The literature that came with them stated that 3 lpm pulse and 5 continuous were the limits to the frames. Have you found that you can still use them? I hope so. Stay strong. -- Z.fibriotic NSIP/05/PA Potter, reader, carousel lover, and MomMom to Darah "I'm gonna be iron like a lion in Zion." You mean so much to us.The liquid Helios I have that goes up to 15L continuous is calledthe Companion-T (my oxygen supplier is Life Support Systems).I hate it - it only lasts me about 1.5 hours, although I never leaveit on 15L for more than a few minutes, before gradually goingback down to 8, then 4 at rest. That means I have to take severalif I'm going to be gone for 4-6 hours. They ice up badly the longerthey run, although I've never had one fail me. However, I have hadthe tubing freeze to the top of the portable, so I always take anextra. They have to be kept upright or they WILL hum. When you'refinished with one, it has to be placed somewhere where the water candrain - it can leave quite a puddle. It's heavy at 8.5 pounds, and doesn't come with a pouch - just a shoulder strap - but youcan carry it in a cart. All of this is a pain in the rear, but it's thebest thing going for me at this time, and I am grateful that I do havesomething that enables me to still get out. I just keep thinkingthat if we can put a man on the moon, technology could comeup with something more compact, lighter, and less messy! :-)Love and blessings,Gwynne IPF 7/04 listed for tx 3/07 Texas
