Contracted fingers

My turn to pick brains on the list.

Over the past two years I have been having problems with my middle and ring

fingers on

both hands contracting. Usually I can work them straight by noon, and the

parafin bath

does wonders, usually. I have had several steriod shots in the tendons. In the

past

month, the two fingers on my right hand contract and will not straighten all the

way. If

the fingers get bumped, the pain in intense. My doctor said that I need to

think about

surgery to fix them. Has anyone had surgery to release the tendons? Was it

successful?
