Guest guest
Can someone explain to me what being on a biological is? I have read so much stuff it seems and my brain is swimming - maybe it's all the Prednisone from the flares - - Anyway, I thought I'd ask if someone could help me understand... Thanks everyone! My new Rheumy ok'd my going back to injectable MTX and Embrel. I just couldn't qualify for the patients assistant program with Embrel, I didn't find them very helpful so I went back to Humira. I thought Humira no longer worked, but after being off of it for 2 months, I found It was doing more than I realized. The only thing the new Rheumy asked was regular blood tests and also new x-rays of my hands. Fine, I had the bloodwork done as well as the x-rays. My appointment was this Friday at 11:30 am. I get a call saying the doctor will be out of town, call and make a new appointment, so I called within an hour after they left the message. My appointment is August 15, the first they have. I guess the blood tests every 6 weeks isn't that important if your the doctor. I do feel better being on a biological which I hope is not allowing my RA to be as destructive as it could be. Guest guest
Thank you !! Sometimes I feel lost in all of this - but then that is what is so great about our group here - you just have to ask and you get someone to help you find the way... In the process of educating myself, I am also working to educate my daughters and son - who are grown - but need to know what is going on with Mom. Thanks again and have a great day!
