Guest guest
Hi Kathy I take the Trader Joes 1000MCG. I was borderline diabetic prior to WLS but my numbers have been good so far. I have another blood work scheduled for Monday. Speaking of that does anyone have the workup that should be done ? Thanks

Guest guest
kat hi thanks for your input i am asking you specifically if you know about how long it takes to notice a difference ? Did you notice how long it took for any sign of improvement with the tingling beginning to disappear ? thanks,

Guest guest
hi melissa the hair loss is a real tough one, i had people tell me that the biotin didn't help, that really nothing helped, so i said fine i wont take anything, but one day one of the very same people that said oh that wont help any, told someone else oh take BIOTIN... blah blah blah,,, i was so frustrated but said the heck with it, i am going to try it .. so i went to walmart and purchased a bottle of Biotin 1000 mcg and i take 2 tablets twice a day, In just a few days it made a major difference.. unless it just is PURELY coincidence I am not wrong. I do not have much hair loss now .. it is almost as good as before surgery. So maybe you can read into Biotin... ( like is there problems with TOO much biotin ) and then increase your intake. The bottle at Walmart was not at all expensive .. the brand is called Spring Valley. I am no expert but just wanted to let you know my experience. Hair is a big issue for me.. i Love my hair, it is long and i hope to keep it long. hugs,
Guest guest
Kat and All You know Im really frustrated by this B12 info. Because my surgeons office also lead me to believe that we should take it only once a week and that it can be dangerous to take more. I had the tingling in my feet early on which stopped about 6 weeks out. But now for it seems like whats been forever my spine has that same tingling sensation. Right now what I take is OptiSource multi vitami 4x a day Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate x 2 a day, Biotin 600mcg x a day (which by the way isnt helping cuz Im convinced I will be bald soon). ANd the B12 sublinglinal 1 a week. I must say since reading all these messages Im taking it daily. But my concern is why are there DRs out there telling us different ? Scary.... Guest guest
Thanks so much...I will check Walmart out for that brand. Me being the girly girl that I am it freaks me out everytime I wash and more hair is falling out.
