My guess is that it is Neurontin, an anti-convulsant used for RSD. I take

it and it does a real good job of alleviating the burning for me. There are

some people that can't take it. It made me really sleepy, but if you hang

in there,it will usually get better within a couple weeks. I think it also

makes a person forgetful, but I'd rather be forgetful than burning! There

are other drugs that can be used if this one doesn't work. The doctor

should work you up slowly. That's what I can tell you from my experience

with it. I'm taking 2400 mg. I think he started me at 900 mg. I took 1200

mg. for awhile, and then my new pain doc raised it.

Love,

nerotonin

I was on Neurontin for 3 months....well, actually, 2 full months......long story with W/C not wanting to pay the pharmacy and so on and their idiot doc.....

I couldn't concentrate for nothing while on it, drive, take care of the kids.....nothing. I was on 2700 mg a day.

Needless to say, when I'm driving with a 6 yr old and a 2 yr old in the back seat, and almost wreck the car because I couldn't concentrate good enough to keep it on the road.......I refuse to take it again!

Tonia

P.S. don't just STOP taking it......this med is definately one that needs at least 2 weeks of tapering off of!!! Know from experience........its not good, possibly one of the scariest things to ever happen to a person!
