Guest guest
I had nothing but sleep problems and was even in a sleep study. I finally tried growth hormone injections and that really clears up the sleep problems for me at least. -- lack of sleep Hi all, a couple of you wrote about your lack of sleep....I'm there too; CC and I have chatted on this issue several times...trying desperately to find an answer...to no avail.... I am sure it is something we lack in our bodies, something we don't " make " and keep hoping with Armour and the other things I am taking that suddenly my body will be back in rhythm again..but so far no good. I am checking out a couple of the sleep groups on here. SeaLady

Guest guest
I went an endocrinologist and was given a stim test. My growth hormone output was too low so I was put on injectable growth hormone. My endocrinologist lost her license due to over prescribing gh!! Nevermind patients came from all over the country because docs are very reluctant to prescribe it. One can usually get if at a rejuvenation clinic tho it is expensive. The disgusting part is that it is available in generic form from China for a dirt cheap price. You have to be willing to risk it getting seized by customs. I am lucky to have had my Lyme doc continue the treatments and my ins pays for the growth hormone, tho the pharmacy charges much more than it should cost. -- Re: lack of sleep Hello , Can you tell me about the growth hormone injections? Guest guest
I'm located South of Boston. It just so happens that the mass general hospital endocrine dept. ALSO is addressing adult hgh deficiency now and deeming it medically necessary so that insurance pays. If you go there and you are truly deficient for your age and it's causing symptoms and affecting the quality of your life, they WILL replace it. Here is their website: http://pituitary.mgh.harvard.edu/e-f-944.htm Re: lack of sleep Hello , Can you tell me about the growth hormone injections? Where are you located? Guest guest
I am curious again about growth hormone. I just got some of my test results from the latest idiot endo (who of course said the requisite, " Your TSH is below range & you need to switch to synthroid immediately. " ) My IGF1 was 127 (109-284). I just turned 40. I recall you saying that you thought the range was skewed? Is there a " list " for growth hormone? I had nothing but sleep problems and was even in a sleep study. Guest guest
- I am about to start taking growth hormones. Can you tell me how many units you took and for how long? What response did you have? Did you continue to feel well after you finished the course? Guest guest
: At 40 my IGF1 was 84. 127 is not that bad. In fact, mine is stable around 135 with injections. 127 is a bit low but I doubt that any endo would prescribe GH for you with that level. A rejuvenation clinic might. The difference in my going from 84 to even 124 was tremendous. So a little makes a lot of difference. -- Re: lack of sleep I am curious again about growth hormone. Guest guest
Geraldine: I started very high since I went to a rejuvenation clinic and they give doses to make you young. That was the only choice I had but 4 years later after much fighting with my insurance co, I now am on a much lower dose. I started at 1.2 mgs per day. That is way too high. I am now on .8 mgs but think .4 or .6 will do the trick. I just don't inject every day with the .8 mgs. My endo did not tell me that after you are on GH for a while, adrenal and thyroid issues pop up or are " revealed " . I don' t know how many IUs or units that is. I just know mgs. -- Re: lack of sleep - I am about to start taking growth hormones. Can you tell me how many units you took and for how long? What response did you have? Guest guest
My response was immediate stopping of the constant colds, sinus infections and flu I was getting. My sleep improved dramatically and I started growing more hair on my head and lost weight. Unfortunately since Lyme and mercury toxicity due to getting fillings out, nothing seems to help much. -- Re: lack of sleep - I am about to start taking growth hormones. Guest guest
I was in 2 sleep studies; one with C-pap and one without (C-pap is oxygen through a mask or nose clips). Both were inconclusive. I little of this and a little of that and a little of this - too many things, so no diagnosis. C. <<<<< I had nothing but sleep problems and was even in a sleep study.
