Deplorable situation of Guwahati medical college hospital

Dear ALL

We writing from assam Network of positive people. In assam only one CD4 machine

established in Guwahati medical college hospital which is again out of service

for last one month.

Not only that, in this VCCTC no HIV kit for HIV testing. In Assam, Guwahati

medical college is one of the main hopital among other. In a day more than 20 to

30 people are coming for HIV teast and counseling. And for CD4 test, in a day 2

to 10 people are coming.

Many are coming from other dristricts. Some of districts are quite from the

city. During each visit, they have to sepend from Rs500 to Rs 1000 per

person.

It is a shame for us to write in this fourm about this issue again and again.

Why this things is happening in Assam. Where is the Care & support programme

and where the Monitoring system from state as National level.

Who will answer to this issue. Is NACO ready to answer?
