All PLSFriends,

I have been intending to post this since I returned from Calif. (you

know what they say about the road to HE-- being paved with good

intentions) It has taken me a while to rest up from the conference and

our extended visit. It was a whirlwind of sightseeing and visiting.

Ronnie your explanation about the pressure to see and do everything

around you really hit home with me and this trip. Jet lag, an early

flight, and pulling an all nighter the night before getting everything

ready for the conference, really wore my husband and me out. So much so

that after the morning presentations, that were soo wonderfully

informative, and lunch, we went upstairs to freshen up and made the

mistake of lying down for a minute and slept through the afternoon,

missing the question/answer session and the opportunity to talk to the

many newcomers. What I feel most remorse about is we did not have the

opportunity to take as many pictures as I would have liked. As you all

know I usually put together a picture book as a momento of the meeting

and use them as a small fund raiser for PLS.

If anyone online that attended the Calif Conference has some pictures or

knows who does, Please, Please let me know. I hate to break the

tradition but I'm afraid the pictures I do have does not include

everyone. It was a large and wonderful group that attended and I would

hate to slight anyone. So, you guys, help me out.

I want to comment on Thurza and Jim 's excellent job on the

" Synapse " ! Bravo!! We have so much genius in our group. Thanks for the

great job.

Hi ,

Greg's lung transplant took place on 2/19/07. We began taking photos

on 3/1/07. Wish we had started sooner, but too late now. We do have

others, but some of them might be tough to look at. By 3/3 he was

feeling great. Main pain was from a tape removal tear on his side. I

remember saying to him, " you have a long cut with staples in it that

goes up your back, you're getting stuck with needles every few hours,

and you're complaining about a bandage sore and a monitor pad pulling

hair?!?! "
