I gotta share. I still have body image issues big time. However, I

am pushing 50 years old and my I am beginning to believe this is as

good as it's gonna get for me as far as the weight loss goes.

Well yesterday, I was shopping. I went into Express and tried on

clothes. I wear size 6 in a couple of pairs of slacks, albeit with

waistband spillover but the 8's fit best. Okay...I am not a truck

anymore. Even if I have been wearing generous cut size 6 jeans, a

size 8 is NOT a plus size.

Then I went into BEBE. It has been my *fantasy* to wear a Black BEBE

rhinestone T shirt. For me that would mean I am really a *normal*

size person. But I felt BEBE was a *skinny* girl store and I am NOT

a skinny girl. Well, I wandered into BEBE yesterday. I pretended I

was shopping for someone in case I was *discovered* in enemy

territory. Then I saw *MY* jeans--gold beaded and embroidered jeans.

OMG! To die for. I grabbed a 6 and and an 8 and went to *sneak* into

the dressing room with a BEBE T shirt. Then I was stopped by a 22

year old sales girl with a 22 inch waist and 32 hips. Can I help

you? she asked. OMG!!! It was okay for me to be there! The best

part? The jeans fit (the non stretch size 8 looked best) and so did

the T-Shirt. I wanted to cry. I left the dressing room and the sales

girl asked me how I did. She also asked if I was buying the black

BEBE shirt to wear with those jeans. I nodded. She said a white top

would be gorgeous especially with my olive complexion. I looked

around. She was talking to Me?? A 22 year old was giving me fashion

advice in a *SKINNY* girl clothing store. Wow! I threw my credit

card at her before I was *found out*!!! Me in BEBE??? WTF? I also

bought the silver hoop earrings with crystal stones to finish the

look.

I wore my new outfit out last night and to have youngsters

compliment me on my clothes is mindboggling, especially for a

morbidly obese woman who used to walk around in black looking like a

Quaker! BTW, Good thing I handed the clerk my credit card before I

regained my senses. Those jeans were $198! EEKS! Oh well, it's all

good. I will skip my $200 psych appointment this week. Life is about

balance, right??? Those jeans gave me peace of mind. Money can't buy

happiness. But happiness can buy peace of mind! I am a believer, I

am really NOT a fat woman anymore!

Hi Ruth!

Yes it did! But the best part was body size acceptance. A goal is

not just a number. It is peace of mind!

I have one size 4 jeans from Nordstrom's. But that is a fluke. No way

am I a size 4. They are S T R E T C H! But at least I can die a happy

woman knowing I could squeeze into ONE pair of size 4 jeans!

i guess i have my simple life, lol

i think of how much i could purchase for $ 198.00

i sure would like to be able to buy that kind of jeans lol

i look in the magazines where they list how much things cost and

where you can get them .. wouldn't you know i always pick the most expensive

outfits.. i must have good taste..

hey i am the Queen of getting great clothes for very little money

like i can go to Macy's and they have a huge sale and then a big clearance

and then a percentage off that clearance... and get like a $ 100.00 item for

like $ 7.00

of course having a child havent been able to do that in ages.. its more like

Jc Penney now, target and yes Walmart, they do have some cute things now and

then
