Question regarding difference between Cortef and Cortisone Acetate

I am wating for my Cortef to come, and only have a few days supply

left. I had accidently ordered Cortisone Acetate previously so I have

plenty of that. Can I supplement with that if I run out of Cortef

before new supply gets here in the mail?

And what exactly happens if you are suddenly out and don't take it by

the way. I know it is very bad, but what exactly happens?
